Steven Tyler's Dance Drop on Tape; Tour on Hold (Again)
According to Billy Perry, wife of guitarist Joe Perry, the legendary rock band has flown back to Boston where Tyler will receive treatment from his own doctor. "No word on the tour when it will resume," she wrote on Twitter.
Earlier she gave fans the scoop on exactly what happened to the singer when he plummeted from the stage following an impromptu dance session. "He hit his head and back. No concussion, stitches in head n back near shoulder. Broken shoulder.Yes he is very sore.We were all worried."
Their next five shows are scheduled in Canada, but Billy Perry noted they "should know more very soon" about re-scheduling.
Here's another angle of the fall, from TMZ:
The group's recent tour has had its fair share of problems:
>> Seven shows were postponed in June when Tyler injured his leg.
>> Bassist Tom Hamilton also pulled out of the tour to recover from "non-invasive" surgery.
>> Guitarist Brad Whitford missed several concerts after hitting his head on his Ferrari.
>> Joe Perry's knee infection caused the band to cancel a gig in Venezuela in January.
The only member not to have health problems is drummer Joey Kramer.

I have been a big Aerosmith fan since 1972. But even I know that when your in your 60's, its time to stop twirlin' around. Steven is lucky he ain't dead. I know you can't teach an old dog new tricks but I'd rather see Aerosmith write new music for the next ten years then rather Steven and his band mates keep getting hurt believing their still in their 20's. As Steven says,,,,,, Get a grip.

Mick Jagger never falls off the stage.....Keith might that is why they keep him away from the edge. Steven probably just doesn't work out the way some of the other "older" rockers do

Look, Tyler has been doing this since the early 70's and even though he is 61 he doesn't give a crap. Yeah, he knows he may fall, yeah he knows he coudl do damage, yeah he doesn't care. The guy lives to rock, they are the best American Rock band in history. I mean, if he wants to tour a couple of more times he should probably tone it down a notch but I don't see that happening.

Paul Stanley is much more active on stage, dances on 9-inch heels, but, obviously has been luckier. He did have both hips replaced though. He's a classical trained vocalist also.
