King of Pop Coming to Big Screen

On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff approved a deal between Michael Jackson's estate, concert promoter AEG Live and Columbia Pictures to produce a full-length film featuring the King of Pop's rehearsal footage, as well as exclusive videos shot just days before his death.

According to the contract, the final cut of the PG-rated film must be screened for representatives of his estate no later than Oct. 2 and cannot include material that "presents Michael Jackson in a negative light," Us Weekly reports.

Along with the movie, a full movie soundtrack will be released as well as a director's cut DVD and two special editions of the film, which will debut after the theatrical run.

Lauryn----What Michael Jackson put into his body was just self abuse, and who cares that he needed a fix morning, noon, and night. The issue with Michael Jackson is about his abuse of young boys, something all of the people you mentioned in your post didn't have. How can you even bring Princess Diana to this low a level in comparing dysfunction ? Michael Jackson wasn't even in her realm of humanity. She was a Princess, HRH, and bore Englands future Kings....

Now my own personal comment. All you people who are worried about Michael Jackson's money being stolen, about how he died, about anything and everything Michael Jackson, you need not worry anymore. Just think while your unemployed, uninsured, foreclosing on your homes, Michael Jackson's estate was amass MILLIONS of your money when you buy that ticket to see this movie, or if you buy his music, or any product Michael Jackson. You all will be happy to know your the reason his estate will be replenished with a fortune, all you fans will make sure of that !

Any agreements made with AEG and/or Columbia Pictures that makes them millions of dollars should include paying the city of Los Angeles back the millions that was spent on the memorial.

I love how people are soo quick to defend this very odd man. Their only argument to defend against his act to little boys is that it was never proven in court... shouldn't the 22 million he paid 13 year old Jordan Chandler back on Jan.1 1994 speak for itself. That doesnt sound like an innocent man to me. Michael was a great musician.. maybe the best of all time, but to me he will be remembered as a freak. I will not take part in seeing this movie.

I would definitely love to see MJ's last days here on earth. It will feel like I didn't miss his concert. It should have been shown on his birthday. I'm sure MJ's fans will be ecstatic. I will advise the fans to bring some kerchief coz am sure there'll be lots of crying in the theater. Thanks to whoever came up with this idea.

Sure hope the tabloid mags' writers will not ruin this one with their bad comments. For heavens sake, leave him alone!!!

I've been watching MJ's specials on tv: CNN, AC360, Issues with Jane Velez, GRACE, TVGN, E!, TV1, etc. Thank you all for featuring updates on Michael on a daily basis. You guys are making my day. I won't last a day without Michael. His songs has been blasting my home, my room, living room, my car. Now, MJ will be on the Big Screen!!! Wow...the promoter of this movie is awesome.

If you don't like Michael Jackson then why do you post comments on him. Like why research him. He has passed away leaving so many people behind and all you can do is critize him! Say you had kids would you like your kids to see all of this? NO, so please just stop and let him rest in peace! His music relaxes me, and whenever I see him on the headlines I like to see nice comments. I know that the world is mean at times but it should not be when people are dead! If you have something bad to say KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!
