Clarkson's Fine With Her Figure

Kelly Clarkson has had enough of other people talking about her weight, so now she's coming out and addressing the topic herself. In the September issue of Self magazine (via PEOPLE), Clarkson strikes back against those who have criticized her waistline, saying:"When people talk about my weight, I'm like, 'You seem to have a problem with it; I don't. I'm fine!',"

The 27-year-old 'American Idol' champion turned music supserstar says that like everyone else, her "happy weight changes," and that "sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more."

Clarkson says she's not concerned with her image, and the only reason she exercises is for her "psyche." She says she's "much better when those endorphins are going. It's a release. And I also love food, so there's a payoff!"

So what does she do when she needs to drop a few pounds? Firstly, she's a huge golf fan and also does Crossfit workouts, which are "like bootcamp" according to her. But the brevity of them is what she likes, saying the sit-up/squat/run routine is generally about "35 minutes, but it's so intense ... It makes me feel like G.I. Jane. It's very empowering. I feel like I can whup ass!"

"For me, it's the times when I'm not paying attention that I end up losing weight. But I'm never trying to lose weight – or gain it. I'm just being!" Clarkson adds

I think she is absolutly beautiful. Why is her weight anybodys business but her own? This is the reason so many pretty young women suffer through eating disorders.

Oink! I guess she's the only one that's fine with her figure. Though I'm not sure the word "fine" should not be used in connection with being overweight. I'm not putting her down, she is what she is and she does have talent. I see women that are probably three times her size with rolls of fata pushing baby carriages around so I guess it doesn't stop them from getting laid. I guess blubber isn't a turnoff for everyone.

Are you a total jerk? Wait don't answer that because it is apparent you are. No one is perfect and you are certainly far from it. Read her reviews and you will see she has the talent and the pipes. I find her to be a refreshing change from the lip sync beauty queens of pop and even rock. I pitty the person you marry. Kelly Clarkson is a good human being with talent and a great role model for all young women.
