Japan is very active with earthquakes but that has made one the safer earthquake country's alot of buildings are made to withstand earthquakes and from what i hear there are drills to teach younger gen like schools teach for fire in america. beyond the hazards japan is great country to tour or visit.

Some ironies about Japanese construction against earthquakes. Visiting Kobe right after the earthquake, many new buildings and homes were damaged. Those standing and relatively undamaged were the ones that were built right after WWII or during the Korean War. They were flimsily built. Pre-war homes were also destroyed due to their heavy roofing against typhoons. Today all new public buildings have a solid base below ground 1/3 the height of the building on giant springs.

Who cares about where she was

Who cares about Jessica Simpson or Beyonce. YAWN. Aren't there thousands of American soldiers being killed in the Middle East? Wake up people.

There is only so much that can be written about our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, the starving masses in third world countries, global warming, or the unethical treatment of animals, etc. And much of that wouldn't by read by many of the people who frequent these sites anyway. Get real.
It wasn't an earthquake. It was just Jessica walking around. Just kidding. She is still a beautiful, if a bit dim, lady.

Since the headline only said a "Simpson" was caught in an earthquake, I assumed that the story would have been about a Simpson that at least had half a brain......like Homer Simpson. Who cares about this walking Elmers-Glue-between-the-ears factory?

Why don't they just leave her alone? A picture of her leg? Saying 'she is on the heavey side" Give me a break!!! She is perfect weight. no wonder there are eatimg disorders. wake up Hollywood!

Please with her luck it probably hit because she was there, to bad she didn't show up in her MOM jeans it could have been worse. She is just simply NASTY sorry folks I never like to speak bad of anyone, but J Simpson is just NASTY can't sing can't act she looks like an Amarillo or Anteater she belongs in a surgeons office an a personality rehab oh and she might want to get an aids check with her history!!! Those mom jeans weren't high enough you could still see her face. Again I'm sorry but that should never be called talent it needs some serious REHAB.

Hey PopEater Staff!! Just curious . . . do you know of any other "5 a.m." EXCEPT one which occurs in the morning??!! "a scare just after 5 a.m. in the morning --" appears slightly redundant, no? ;-)

She thought it was surreal? Surreal would be sitting at a Cowboys game with the anticipation of them going to the playoff's and then as usall watching them fall flat on thier faces..........AGAIN...That would be SURREAL

My daughter lives in Japan and said she was holding onto her new wide-screen TV. No problem. But these whiners get headlines on AOL. WTF?

Boy that was sure news??? A whole lot of pretend female singers got their boobies bounced in a earthquake in japan??? Now that's news I was holding my breath for!!!!

She has about much talent as as that horrid British singer that constantly gets so much publicity. I've been waiting for her head to deflate because anyone knows that there isn't much in there. What the real disgrace is how she was sold over the years as being some goody two shoes. Its pretty abominable really. You think that we could figure out better role models for youth. No wonder the country is in the shape its in.
