Stars Get Caught in Japan Earthquake

Jessica Simpson said getting stuck in a 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Japan made her feel like she was "hallucinating," calling it one of the more surreal moments she's ever experienced. And she wasn't the only famous person who was tossed around by the quake.

Simpson, who's in Japan filming her new reality show 'The Price of Beauty,' posted on Twitter following the quake: "Thought I was hallucinating. I have never felt anything like this in my life. Laying in bed watching CNN."

Jessica's pal and one-time assistant CaCee Cobb said she "woke up thinking I was in a fish tank!"

The temblor, which rocked Japan's Tsuruga Bay, didn't cause any major damage, but certainly gave many people a scare just after 5 a.m. in the morning -- including Beyonce and Solange Knowles.

The famous sisters were in Tokyo promoting a line of handbags when they were rocked by the quake. Also telling her tale on Twitter, Solange said that Beyonce "said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and I was snoring," followed by a flurry of "omg!"

I clicked on the Simpsons pictures...the caption kept reading that Jessica looked on the heavy side..don't know what they were looking at, but she looked okay to me. The media is such crap!

The fact that so much of Kobe was destroyed was not that ironic - what caught everyone by surprise there is that they thought Kobe was not in a fault area so the construction laws were different from Tokyo. I lived in Japan for 7 1/2 years in both areas. Tokyo is a very safe place to be in an earthquake for the most part. We were in one that was over 7. But the weird thing is that the buildings there are on rollers (to roll with the quake) which makes for the hallucination feeling Jessica talks about. You look outside and you don't feel so much as if you are moving but it looks as though the trees are! The danger comes for being outside where things can fall on you, or inside a house if the house is not earthquake-proofed (bolt tall furniture to the wall, etc). there is also danger from fire because it is on natural gas. So learning how to "earthquake proof" your home if you live in such an area is imperative. I now live in the bay area (San Francisco) and have earthquake proofed our home here. If you live in an earthquake area contact your local fire department to find out how.

Of course Jessica Simpson thought she was hallucinating during a 6.6 magnatude quake while visiting Japan. What do you expect from the ditsi mouth that isn't sure whether "Chicken of the Sea" is tuna or chicken ??? This girl is definately from another Planet ! ! ! Does coloring your hair blonde turn a person stupid ???
