Heroin Toothbrush Bust for Douglas' Gal Pal

Kelly Sott was reportedly arrested after passing the toothbrush to Douglas -- the 30-year-old son of actor Michael Douglas -- while he was under home detention following a court hearing on a methamphetamine-dealing charge.
"The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron's recent behavior. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be," the Douglas family said in a statement released Wednesday.
He is being held at the hotel, with security being carried out by a private company, PEOPLE is reporting.

A court report claims Douglas "appeared to be very concerned about when the toothbrush would be delivered," repeatedly and anxiously asking even though he had been given a toothbrush already.
When said toothbrush arrived, a guard searched it and found "19 glassines containing a brownish substance that appeared to be heroin."
The room was then searched and more heroin, marijuana and crystal meth is thought to have been found.

Lets forget about him being a dealer or user or whatever else he is......Where is his parents (daddy, MR micheal...supposebly movie star millionaire), in all of this?....You would think that his father knew this or would have helped...I would surely think his father has money. Of course, just because he made millions with movies doesnt mean he has any.(but i will guess he has some).....AND,If his dad has some money (and im going to assume he has some), this doesnt say much for his father as far as im concerned....Money is to be used when needed to help out family or who ever you choose...And expecially if you supposebly have millions....MICHAEL CANT TAKE IT WITH HIM......You might as well spoil the people you love the best....(And again, i can only assume they have a good relationship of father/son)..But maybe his father will change the world and be the first to show us how to take it with you........LOL...

Most of those stars and their kids stay hooked their entire life. Sad to say but anyone can list the number of stars that have OD'ed or died from drug related problems. It is a long list. They try to live lives larger than life and instead the largeness of that fake life is too much to carry, and they die one way or another. Wait until Red, the son of Farah Fawcette gets out of jail, he has tons of money now that his mother left it to him. He can go do a big goof ball or some meth in large quantities, all he wants. The drug cartell laughs all the way to bank, and the addicted one is hooked for good. 70% of those in rehab go back out and use again. Sad fact of life.

All of these actors and actresses are married and divorced multiple times...they have a high incident of being drug addicts and their children also have a high incident of drug use/addiction.
It's quiet eveident that no amount of money can buy these folks happiness NOR parenting skills.
I truely feel sorry for Cameron's Mother, Father and siblings, and hope that Cameron can sometime find peace in his life, get off drugs and stay clean.
But for the life of me I cannot fathom why folks take political and parenting advice from them???
Michael Douglas has always been so arrogant and full of himself. It probably never occured to him that being a father requires you to stop looking in the mirror and to start being concerned with your children. To be a good parent, you have to give-up a lot of your personal indulgences and to give up a lot of what you did as a young person - to be a good parent, you have to first grow-up yourself.

The kid didn't have a quality male figure to look up to. Kirk and Michael are both nothing more then Hollywood TRASH. Even though the kid didn't have any guidance he should have by now figured life out and straightened up. What can you say, he's a typical Douglas. Low life TRASH.

You'd think since we are dragging massive deficits, the taxpayers wouldn't want to waste their money on douche-bags like Cameron Douglas. I could never figure out why supposed capitalists embraced such a communist policy. Unless you somehow pose a threat to our society, I don't want to waste money trying to separate you from society. If you take or sell drugs and commit some kind of violent crime or steal from somebody, then you should go to jail, just like anybody else would, but there is no way to justify spending as much money as we do sending drug users and dealers to jail. Imposing such severe restrictions on the Free Market is counterproductive. One could argue morality, or whatever they will, but keep in mind, drugs were a prominent part of life when books like the Bible and Torah were written so it is an argument that would've been lost on the very same people who established the morals you espouse.

Of course your problems don't go away when you stop using drugs. You will always have problems in life as long as you are alive. Being sober, you will have different problems though, and you will be able to face them and handle them instead of running away from them. That's the Game of Life, and it's a lot better when done properly. Been there.

Why is a dealer in a hotel????
Oh thats right. Daddy is working on buying his freedom so he can go back to his sales biz.
Of course he will stay stoned too.

Maybe this Douglas kid will get some real help when the Healthcare Bill HR 3200 takes over his clean-up. Let's hope.

yes, douglas should be in jail for sales with court ordered drug rehabilitation. addicts of all types need education on the physiology of addiction whether the addiction is alcohol, barbiturates, cocaine, gambling, hoarding, over eating, sex, meth/speed, smoking?ever no matter what the vice.
remember some people have adductive personalities and seem to gravitate easier to addiction but none the less they need help. many addicts are victims

A Mean Business Rehab should be serious and not let the addict out just because he/she is smiling again and Bsing their charm, so they can get out and get their supplier on the cell phone, for a urgent delivery of drug of choice.

HELD AT THE HOTEL???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME WHY ISNT HE IN JAIL
Reply
The article isn't clear -- will he be going to jail now since the smuggling incident happened and after they found drugs all over the hotel room?
Reply
Just a thought -- if he is put in a hotel room with private security even after drugs were smuggled in and found in the hotel room, doesn't that make the authorities this addict's enablers?

he is being held in a grand hotel that 99% of us will never afford. Stick his ass in JAIL.

Ah, yes! Once again the typical American *sob* (read: DRUGS) story... One can conclude that when the human has all it needs, then it turns to sheer stupidity out of boredom.
One more thing: the boys in Iraq and Afghanistan are putting their lives on the line and DYING for the American way of life! For Democracy! They are serving their country, and this is what their country is up to...

To keep all records straight: for the boys and the GALS in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But then again, US the military inatrument is also plagued by the use of illegal substances.
Should know, the 1st 25 years of my army-brat life were on-base; at home and overseas.
Good ol' American drug problem! Rich or poor, famous or unknown...
