Actor Liam Neeson walked the red carpet on Tuesday night for the first time since the tragic death of his wife Natasha Richardson last March.

I have always admired Liam and will continue to do so. My heart goes out to him. Someone I know well met him once in Ireland and said what a lovely man he truly is. I will pray for Natascha and for her two growing sons. Sometimes you have to question why God chooses to take who he does. She is an Angel now-RIP

He is a wonderful person and he and his sons have prayer coming their way.
Dierdre...just to share with you my understanding of why people like Natasha die...God doesn't look at death like we do. He's more interested in our growth as people. The more difficult something is, the more compassionate and loving we should become (unless we choose bitterness). And the horrors of, say Africa, Darfur...He allows this so that that we who can help step up and help. He's about growing us up to be better people...
Just thought I'd write this to you. Hope it's helpful.
pe it's helpful.
God does not take , he receives.

I have always loved Liam Neeson...but even more so now. He and his wife are class acts. He's got a lot of dignity and class! Best to you and yours!

I should have said 'late' wife. Apologies. I'm sure, though, that her spirit lives on!

His eyes are still full of great sadness. My heart aches for him. Hopefully, time will help him to find peace.

An old friend of mine worked for Liam and his wife as a caterer at their home in Millbrook, NY. She always spoke about how kind, warm, and loving Liam and Natasha were to others and to each other. God bless Liam and his children .. and Natasha, rest in peace.

HIS EYES TRULY SHOW SO MUCH SADNESS AND PAIN STILL. May he find the strengh and reason to smile again: she would certainly love that. What a beautiful man! She was a great person and must have been a great wife and mother! May they all find the strengh and laugh again. Feel free from pain to keep on living with their kids.

Oh, how I feel for the guy! I wish so much that there really was this place called "heaven" that you could go to if you're good when you die, and meet up with all of your loved ones who were good when they died, and you could pick what age you wanted to be when you got there. (Question: When a baby or really old person dies, do they have to stay that age forever in heaven? Because that would sort of suck.) I would feel so much more comforted if I could just fool myself into believing in fairy tales, supernatural beings, etc. But when things don't make much sense, I just cannot force myself to accept the nonsense. Same thing regarding horoscopes, psychics, and fortune tellers, ghosts, televangelists, etc. Remember, in the middle of the word BELIEVE is the word LIE. People want so desperately to believe in certain things that are unbelievable. They want to pray so that they feel they may have some control over things. We all really need to stop believing some things so easily, even though it may be painful. All I can say is, remember Dumbo and the feather.

I feel sorry for you. It must be so sad to have nothing to believe in, no hope nor happiness either. My prayer for you is to one day find happiness. Your spirit is sadly lacking, but that is your choice. Still I feel pity and sadness for you.
u sound like my aunt, shes in florida
What an interesting post, barbarella. You say at first that you "wish so much that there really was this place called "heaven" but then you end by saying people "really need to stop believing some things so easily." Faith in God does NOT come "easily" to many who were not brought up in church, but many do find it if they seek it earnestly. I'd like to challenge you to read the Gospel of John and learn how the God of all creation has made Himself known to us, provided a way for us to become "good enough" to enter Heaven, and wants you to come to know Him better. Any atheist who believes that we are here on this earth by chance takes a MUCH bigger leap of faith than does one who believes in God.
