Sleek Charlize Lets 'Er Rip in Vogue

Charlize Theron is a real Hollywood broad. Her 'Monster' director says she "drinks like a fish and swears like a sailor," and anyone who knows the gorgeous star is aware of her penchant for frank, blunt talk on just about any subject.

Vogue tapped the Oscar winner for the cover of their September issue and although the photos show her in a hot, dry setting, her conversation is anything but. Nudity, rumors about sexuality, her big mouth -- it's all on the table. Highlights after the jump.

On Nude Scenes: "That isn't about me. I don't look at the movie and go, 'Jesus, my ass is really saggy'."

On Old Rumors She's Gay: "I cut my hair really short in my 20s, and people were like, 'Hmm, wait a second. Is she gay?'"

On Why She and Stuart Townsend Aren't Married: "We've been together for almost nine years, so by now we've kind of realized that we're going to take this journey together."

On Her Tendency to Speak Freely: "People tell me that cocaine makes you feel superhuman and you'll say anything. Then when you come down like all of a sudden you have guilt," she says. "But I have that feeling innately, even without the cocaine."

On Director Patty Jenkins Wanting Her for 'Monster': "She really turned me upside down. I was like, 'Whoa, this woman's crazy.' But there was nothing I could do, because, trust me, I tried to talk her out of it."

On How She Feels About Playing Strong Women: "I can't tell you about that ... but I know how I feel about facing my own weaknesses, and playing into my weaknesses and finding that within my characters." By this point, she's sitting on the edge of her couch cushion, as if someone is about to call "Action" right this second. "My weaknesses are way more interesting to me than my strengths."

Charlize Theron is a lovely young woman and talented actress. So many hatemongers on here: that is what is wrong with this country today. It's fine to dislike people, for one reason or another. However, to hate strongly enough to "deport" --that's sad. And all this hatred toward "Liberals". That should not even be a consideration. I was raised never to discuss politics and religion with anyone because those are "personal and private". This country was founded on many principles, Christianity NOT being one of them. However, toleration of differences IS one. We seem to be losing that rapidly.

We were founded on Christianity but not to have religion and politics involved with each other. The pilgrims were seeking religious freedom from the Catholic Church under England. The Christians are the ones who founded this country but separated church from state with regard to government. Outside of that I agree with you.

I believe you better take another look at history.This Nation was formed very much on and about Christianity.

Are you nuts?!? This country was very much founded on Christian principles. Read the Constitution! Read the constitution of every state in the Union!! The main thing is, our founders were wise enough to keep government and religion seperated as far as governing power of one over the other. But some people have turned that around to mean Freedom FROM religion.

Bob--you are mistaken. Dylan & Taran were correct; this country was not founded on Christianity. Do some reading on the religious views of the more active founders. A good place to start: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Thomas Payne, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin. None of these men was a Christian. Their work toward founding this country was NOT based on Christianity.
