Sleek Charlize Lets 'Er Rip in Vogue

Charlize Theron is a real Hollywood broad. Her 'Monster' director says she "drinks like a fish and swears like a sailor," and anyone who knows the gorgeous star is aware of her penchant for frank, blunt talk on just about any subject.

Vogue tapped the Oscar winner for the cover of their September issue and although the photos show her in a hot, dry setting, her conversation is anything but. Nudity, rumors about sexuality, her big mouth -- it's all on the table. Highlights after the jump.

On Nude Scenes: "That isn't about me. I don't look at the movie and go, 'Jesus, my ass is really saggy'."

On Old Rumors She's Gay: "I cut my hair really short in my 20s, and people were like, 'Hmm, wait a second. Is she gay?'"

On Why She and Stuart Townsend Aren't Married: "We've been together for almost nine years, so by now we've kind of realized that we're going to take this journey together."

On Her Tendency to Speak Freely: "People tell me that cocaine makes you feel superhuman and you'll say anything. Then when you come down like all of a sudden you have guilt," she says. "But I have that feeling innately, even without the cocaine."

On Director Patty Jenkins Wanting Her for 'Monster': "She really turned me upside down. I was like, 'Whoa, this woman's crazy.' But there was nothing I could do, because, trust me, I tried to talk her out of it."

On How She Feels About Playing Strong Women: "I can't tell you about that ... but I know how I feel about facing my own weaknesses, and playing into my weaknesses and finding that within my characters." By this point, she's sitting on the edge of her couch cushion, as if someone is about to call "Action" right this second. "My weaknesses are way more interesting to me than my strengths."

I've been of fan of hers since day 1. She's an amazing actress and the fact that she speaks her mind and doesn't give a rats azz if people like what she says or not, makes me like her even more!! There's not 1 movie she's made that I didn't like or that I haven't watched over and over. As far as not marrying. That's between her and her boyfriend, also another great actor!! At least they're not going out and getting married only to go out and get divorced 2 yrs or less down the road!! Not only is she an AMAZING actress, she's so BEAUTIFUL. Charlize is a very talented actress and so is Katherine Heigel; they have chosen very different genres of characters to portray and they are both very successful. Actors, whether liberal or conservative, use their celebrity as a forum to voice their opinions. Those of us who are just regular people don't have such a forum and it is frustrating at times because so many people think that actors, because of their celebrity, have some accurate insight into politics, religion, etc. that the rest of the world doesn't have. If we were celebrities, we would voice our opinions just as vocally as any other. Our country was founded on religious freedom, but when you study history you will find out that many of the signers of the constitution were not Christians. The founders of our country had varied beliefs in a God; some did have traditional Christian beliefs, but not all. Read your history - you will be surprised at what their religious practices and beliefs really were.

Jesus was the ultimate liberal? Ultimate? You think Jesus was tolerant of everything? Jesus was forgiving, which is not the same as tolerant. He also never preached the use of coercion to achieve his goals of caring for others. As far as guns, he most likely would not be any more anti gun than he was anti hammer. He was against evil, not implements. The big message of Jesus was obey God and forgive others as you want to be forgiven. I am confident there is much he would find disturbing about what now passes for liberalism.

I am not sure of the comments on live outside this country for awhile comment, I have, United States is a great place and the safest place I have lived (One of these places was Canada by the way). And the whole Jesus was a liberal comment and then tied it to gun control. Liberal is a train of thought not a position on in politics, just the same as conservative is. Liberal on guns might suggest that everyone in this country no matter how rich or poor deserves to have a gun, just the same as the suggestions on health care, the argument is nonsense and unfounded, besides Christ never mentioned sword control or universal healing. It sound kind of silly to even suggest it. Back to Charlize truly hot but not so much in the morals but she is from South Africa and her parents find no wrong with her doing the nude stuff so why would she.

Actually, Charles, our country was founded on Judeo-Christianity. Hence the terminology "In God we trust" on the dollar bill and also "One nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. It's vague on WHO or WHAT God the two above statements are addressing. Which is why it's primarily athesists who raise concerns with those phrases.
