'Scrubs' Star Chalke Having Winter Baby

'Scrubs' star Sarah Chalke and her fiance, Jamie Afifi, are expecting their first child this winter, her rep has confirmed to PEOPLE.

The 32-year-old actress and her lawyer beau got engaged in 2006. Chalke's 'Scrubs' costar Judy Reyes is also pregnant and due with a girl in November.

What is with these millionaires who stay engaged for two years and have kids while they are waiting to get married? I thought you proposed to someone once you were sure you wanted to marry them. It sounds like someone has been played with the dangle angle. They dangle a wedding in front of a girl in order to be treated like a husband, while they still maintain a measure of independence. I hope for the babies sakes these "adults" will find a way to act the part before the birth date.

I miss the days when people would marry before having children. Nowadays, it seems more the exception than the rule.... Still, I do wish the expectant parents the best of luck.

Nisa, where the hell do you get off calling Sarah a whore for being pregnant? Or any woman for that matter. Times have changed sweetheart. Women are able to have babies and not be married. If you have a daughter that gets pregnant before marriage, are you going to call her a whore too? You need to get off your high horse and get with the times.

Getting with the times as you put it, merely increases the chances of poverty for both mother and child. As our out of wedlock birthrate soars, so does our illiteracy rate, or crime rate and our STD rate for that matter. Wisdom is timeless, but foolishness is always an option. There is no cure for stupidity that comes with the advancing calendar.

Okay first of all i would like to start off saying congrats to Sarah,im happy for you. Now for the situation on Praising white people and black people on welfare. None of that is needed to be posted in this section. Okay i am a young black lady. What is the deal with racism these days? And if you guys didn't notice a lot of people dosen't get married and have babies anymore. Now im not saying that i agree with it but im not punishing the people that are doing it. She was impregnated 6 weeks after she broke up with Scott Disick. She is followed by the paparazzi and they would have let us know if they were "seen together"

Give an example, please. I cannot recall any recent outcry against a black woman having a baby out of wedlock and being called names. That's just a cheap shot to start another race string. Sarah Chalke is getting a positive response because people simply like her. She is a classy, talented young woman with an affecting and pleasant personality. She always makes me smile and I wish her well too. Lucky kid!
