'Dazed' Michael Arrested After Crash

George Michael and cars just haven't gotten along in the past, and it seems the trend is continuing as the pop star was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence yet again on Friday just two months after getting his license back following a suspension.

'You Light Up My Life' songwriter and film director Joseph Brooks has been accused of luring women to his apartment (via Craigslist) and drugging and assaulting them. Brooks, seen being led by police on June 23, has been indicted on rape and sex assault charges.

Film and TV star Jonathan Rhys Meyers reportedly got into a war of words with French police, leaving many to believe the rehabbed actor is drinking again. During the incident, he allegedly threw money at them and challenged police to hit him. He was, naturally, handcuffed.

Jeffrey Archuleta, the father of 'American Idol' star David Archuleta, was caught in a compromising position when police raided a Utah massage parlor, RadarOnline is reporting. He was cited for misdemeanor soliciting a prostitute, according to the report.

The Daily Mail reports that the 46-year-old Michael took a breathalyser test following an accident in which he crashed his range rover "into the back of an articulated lorry" -- a truck, if you aren't up to date on your British slang.
Laurie Rowe, the owner of said smashed-into truck, says that Michael "seemed completely disorientated, like he had no idea what was going on. He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my lorry. He kept saying he was worried he would go to jail."

Rowe said the impact was so violent and Michael hit them so hard that he "didn't think he [Michael] would have survived."

Despite the arrest, Michael was released by police after five hours and was not charged.

Michael's license was suspended following a 2006 arrest, where police found him slumped over the wheel of his Mercedes.

I read that he took a drug Test and it came back negative therefore he wasnt high or drunk at that time. Also why the hell would ppl who seen what happen wait 10 mins to check on him? Something sure seems Fishy. I Sure hope George gets his act together and continues doing more tour and making more beautiful music. Hes a down-to-earth guy and a Beautiful gay man. Its ashame and im truly sadden.

I'm also a gay male and USED to be a huge George Michael fan,but he's made such an ass of himself so many times and in so many,many ways. He is a really bad example example of a gay man,it makes me sick. People of his ilk make it tough for ALL gays and give the homophobes and bigots even more fuel! Why doesn't he just go the hell away? He keeps resurfacing,like tacky,out of date,worn-out luggage! No one cares any more,Georgie-Porgie...just go away QUIETLY!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember the first day the first WHAM !!! video hits MTV, I saw it before going to college class for the day. I can't say it thrills me to see how George Michael has conducted himself in the past few years, but I do know life isn't easy for ANYONE, we ALL have issues... sometimes fame, notoriety, success, etc... exacerbate those issues. Not only do I think it is totally unfeeling and tacky to make some of the comments made here; I also know that if he really WAS NOT charged then he must not have been under the influence. Nowhere do cops simply let someone go without charge if they are intoxicated, given the proximity to the return of his license, they likely would have held him over for arraignment before even considering release. I mean, THINK ABOUT IT LOGICALLY.
