Jackson to Be Buried on His Birthday

Michael Jackson's body will finally be laid to rest on August 29, on what would have been his 51st birthday, the late singer's father reveals to the New York Daily News.

Joe Jackson told the newspaper that the burial will take place in a private ceremony at 10 a.m. on the date at the Forest Lawn Hills Cemetary in Los Angeles -- more than two months after his death.

The decision to bury him there, according to Joe, was settled within the last few days. Previously, there had been a disagreement over where the burial should be, with some family members wanting it to be done at Neverland and the others opposed.

Please tell me the body was cremated!!! Two months of rotting flesh can't be a pleasant smell - even from a sealed coffin!!! Gross!!! Bury him and get on with life. As for his dad - he's on the same level as Jesse Jackson - always wanting the attention. Keep the kids away from him or they'll be treated just like Michael.

Poor Michael was a great talent, no doubt. He was exploited as a child by his father and was never allowed to be a child. All his adult life, he was trying to be a child. He wasn't a child molester, but his actions gave the impression he was. Sleeping with kids, being tucked etc.No wonder the British called him Wacko Jacko. How sad.
