Celine Dion to Release Next Hit: A Baby!

Canadian songstress Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil, 67, are expecting a second child, Tuesday's Journal de Montreal reports. The 41-year-old singer gave birth to the couple's first child, Rene-Charles, in January 2001. The earlier pregnancy was the result of fertility treatments, and Dion reportedly used a team of fertility doctors in New York to help her conceive again.

Dion recently told talk show host Oprah Winfrey, "We are going to give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we (can get) pregnant again. I have a small window of hope. But we have been so blessed already. We tried six years for Rene-Charles. We have our miracle baby."

Angelil, Dion's former manager, has three children from two previous marriages. His recent bout with cancer had raised doubts of his ability to father another child.

I'm so happy to hear the news about Celine & husband. I just love her so much. I saw her in person in Tacoma WA this last year. She had a marvelous show. I remember she indicated that she would love to have more kids.

What a great bit of news. They are a fine couple. No slander or marital problem "stories", and they seem up-beat at all times. There are reasons to be happy to be alive during ths time solt of existance. Celine singing is one of those reasons.

You are right they do want another baby, but be happy you have one healthy child. It's a fact older mother's and father's (67?)have a greater chance for babies with bith defects let alone have no parents by the time they are teens. Why couldn't she have put her career on hold sooner!!! The kids will not be close in age. I couldn't have children and took fertility drugs but I made sure that I gave it up at the right age and I'm not jealous of them.

Actually when she got pregnant the first time there was 2 separate embryos when she got pregnant with Rene-Charles. At that time, they decided to put the other one on ice just in case if something went either wrong or if she wanted to have this child at a later date. So in fact if you look at it this way, this is Rene-Charles' twin many many years later. Anyway, congrats to Celine and Rene I hope that we get CD out from her prior to her taking some much time off I love her music... Been waiting for a new CD.. for a long time, she is overdue.
