Celine Dion to Release Next Hit: A Baby!

Canadian songstress Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Angelil, 67, are expecting a second child, Tuesday's Journal de Montreal reports. The 41-year-old singer gave birth to the couple's first child, Rene-Charles, in January 2001. The earlier pregnancy was the result of fertility treatments, and Dion reportedly used a team of fertility doctors in New York to help her conceive again.

Dion recently told talk show host Oprah Winfrey, "We are going to give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we (can get) pregnant again. I have a small window of hope. But we have been so blessed already. We tried six years for Rene-Charles. We have our miracle baby."

Angelil, Dion's former manager, has three children from two previous marriages. His recent bout with cancer had raised doubts of his ability to father another child.

By today's standards, 41 isn't too old to have a child. His age shouldn't be an issue either. It's wonderful that he's willing and able to enjoy another of God's blessings. The child certainly won't suffer because his father is an older man. Does it really make a difference when our society is primarily comprised of divided or extended families? Why should this personal choice matter to anyone? Congratulations!

I would be happy except for the age of the Daddy. This child will probably be about 10 years old when it goes to its Daddy's funeral, leaving this child fatherless in the most critical years of its life.

Having to go through so much fertility treatments may have been an indicator not to get pregnant and to be happy with the older child you already have.

Why is it when a WOMAN is scoriated and ripped for having a baby at 48, 58 or 68 (using healthy donated eggs in a healthy uterus), but nobody says BOO when a 67 year OLD MAN has one with his own stuff that doesn't work. His little guys aren't swimming well either, folks. Sickening double standard.

If they can afford it let them do as they please. They are financially secured any way you see it. I'm 42 and my husband is 66 years old and we are planning on having a baby too!! Can I afford it yes the government or no one is providing for this just hard working money my spouse makes so don't waste any sleep over this live and let live!

Celine Dion is absolutely our FAVORITE singer in the world! We went to see her Vegas shows and a few others several times. She also is an incredible human being. Very compassionate. I think her husband is the most fortunate man in the world.

I saw her interview on Oprah and have been praying for her. When I read the news, I was immediately on the phone to John to tell him about it.
