Sting's Daughter Talks About Dad's Libido

Despite all those tales that singer Sting had eight-hour sessions of tantric sex with wife Trudie Styler, it's all been a sham, his 18-year-old daughter Coco Sumner told UK's Love Magazine (via Daily Mail.) "Bob Geldof made up this thing and it stuck and it's an international joke," she says. "It is a bit embarrassing when people bring it up. I don't really have anything to do with my parents' sex life. They love each other. So what?"

The 18 year old admits she has had to endure hours of "embarrassing" talk about her parents' sex life for years though.

The rumor about Sting's sex life was first revealed in 1996 in a biography. But he later insisted the remarks were a result of a 'bitching' session between him and Geldof. The tounge-in-cheek account was a complete fabrication that went a little too far, he admits.

"We were chatting and talking about having hours of sex," he said. "It then became really a joke which went around the world like a forest fire."

"I'm definitely not going to deny it, or confirm it," he then teased London's Evening Standard. "Yes, I do a lot of yoga. I'm not an expert on Tantra, but it's about trying to establish everyday normal things like walking, eating and making love with an element of the sacred," Sting said.

Sting and his wife have been married for over 17 years.

Sting and wife was on Oprah years ago and I remember hearing that 8 hours thing becuz O asked them about it. Wife then told O that the 8 hours doesn't include just sex, that they spend hours just kissing. Which I thought weird cuz doesn't your lips get sore after hours and hours of smooching. Anyway they said that the 8 hours doesn't mean sex, I guess they were trying to say it was foreplay for hours on end. But since it's a day time show, they didn't mention any sex. So for it to be 'gossip' they themselves perpetuated it too and by going on O.

Well as for Sting's sexual power, all I know is his dad was a milkman.

Can anyone tell me if sting has a child out of wedlock when he was younger. I can't remember if it was him or someone else. It has been so long ago. I remember reading he had nothing to do with that child. I could be wrong but everytime I see Stings name I think about that. Thanks!

@Jane- the bio I read said he got someone pregnant when he was a teenager or young adult, but she miscarried. He had two kids with his first wife and four with Trudie, but I've never heard of any others.

As for the eight-hour thing, he's been quoted as saying it includes "dinner, a movie and two hours of begging!"
