This performance is no different than any other music artists performance. In this day anything goes, there are alot worse and inappropriate moves and wardrobe out there. The issue with choosing to criticise Miley's performance is that people are not able to distinguish her individual persona from her Hannah Montana character. At almost 17 yrs of age she is a young woman, not a child from a fictional Disney show. Let her be herself, she is talented and classy pole or no pole. Take a look at all the VH1, and Blackbeat music videos and come back and say if what she did was "THE WORST".

Billy Ray is a superstar in his own right, he has stayed actively employed in the music and acting business for more than 20 years, he does not need a meal ticket, he has his own ticket to ride....While i would not want my daughter to dance so sexy, I know at 16 she is gonna do it...Miley isn't hiding on some street corner being provocative, her every move is being tracked by the public....your daughter however is probably doing far worse...she just isnt being scruptinized by paparazzi. I think Miley is acting her age, just like any 16 yr old would be doing...at that age they all want to be pretty and sexy and 25....and atleast her dad knows what his daughter is doing and not pretending it is somthing it is not !!

I'm afraid Miley has grown up way too fast, and we all know what that "pole" represents. Poor choice if wanting to maintain a wholesome and classy image. Perhaps she is wanting to change all that. Who cares if she danced on a pole. It is all on what you make of it. There is pole aerobics now. Does every pole have to be dirty because there has been one out there that some dancer has danced on. She's not naked. Give me a break. She is just entertaining. I guarantee you that every single girl I know would dance on a pole just for the heck of it with cloths on for a laugh. It is just clean fun. Nothing more.

It's sad cause Miley was a cute teen kid who most girls wanted to emulate but now she's turned into just another "Gollywood trash dolly". Daddy ought to be able to stand on his own two financial feet fine, without using his little girls corrupt and nasty way of presenting herself... When I was at DISNEY WORLD for my daughter's cheerleading compeition. I sat and watched a show that young teens where putting on... some Camp Rock thing.. and the stage moved much like Miley's and guess what? The young girls on the end of the stage that was moving were holding onto poles.. and NO ONE FREAKING CARED.. get over it people. Nothing wrong with what she was doing.

What is wrong with you people? I watched the video and the only thing she does is hang on to the pole cause she is on some little ice cream cart thing and the pole is there to help her stay on top of it while she is being pushed around on it. Hey just cause it looks like a stripper pole doesn't mean that is what it is! And another thing to the moo's out there and some of the dad's, Miley is growing up ok and she is changing into a woman so you all need to get used to the idea that she is coming into adulthood and being a star also changes you so I don't see anything wrong with what she did cause she did not do anything bad and you people should judge yourself before judging others.
