According to the latest cover of OK! Magazine, Sherri Shepherd has "lost 41 pounds, dropped 10 dress sizes and cut 10 inches off her 5′1″ frame." During her intense four week overhaul, 'The View' co-host hired a trainer and changed her diet completely.
While she admits she still has a long way to go, she's happy with her current figure. "Yes, my thighs still rubbed together, my arms still had some jiggle, my sides still had some spillover... I didn't look like Kim Kardashian, but I felt good." Shepherd said.
Why she decided to lose weight: "I lost weight last year and started gaining it back because I wasn't exercising... I said to my producer, 'Why don't we do something where I tell people 'Let's do it together!' and maybe [up the ante with] a bathing suit.' The minute I said that, I was like, 'Gosh, I should take it back because I really want M&M's!' But I had to do it. Then all of sudden I had all these people doing it with me. I'd Tweet about going to the gym and how hard it was, and followers would write and say, 'Sherri, I've lost two pounds!' I thought, 'Okay, people are getting into this.'"

Her love/hate relationship with her trainer: "What I hate is when trainers say, 'Okay, lets do 15,' and then you get to 15, and they go '10 more.' It has taken every mental thing I have to get to 15, so don't put another 10 on me!"
Why she almost gave up on her weight loss program: "I absolutely hate working out and many times I'd break down in tears. I'd want to give up. But I did it for the viewers who inspired me."
How she's now maintaining her weight without a trainer: "It's mandatory that I find something I like that I can keep up. I just started this trapeze class that strengthens the arms, and tennis I love. I'm taking salsa lessons."
What food helped her slim down: "[Fresh Diet] delivered freshly cooked meals, and they delivered it in the mornings, so I would just eat that."
Why "cheat days" are okay: "Sometimes I just said, 'I don't want tilapia anymore; I can't even deal with salad. I want M&M's and Ruffles. But the difference was I was gonna get back up and go to the gym and keep my commitment. I never once felt like I deprived myself."
its great she is well and healthy BUT the common man/woman can not afford fresh food delivered daily , we are just trying to feed our families most days , and a personal trainer, oh sure, i will order one up right quick , after i find a way to pay .. house , lights , gas, daycare , yep , rich folks are neat ...
Oh please, you don't need to be rich to stay in shape! Why is that such a common excuse!? Get outside, take jogs, and just be smarter when you buy your own food! It can be done!
Oh sure we can buy our own food but for me it would be the best idea to have it delivered. I definitely don't want to be shopping and preparing meals. I just want to be rich and do it like the rich do. With them there is absolutely no excuse to be fat
While I understand your point, it's still a bunch of excuses. If you really want to do it, you can, but where you went wrong is not getting this in gear before having children. Now your kids are probably used to eating not so healthily and if/when u try to do it, it makes it even harder because u now have to think about creating a lifestyle for your whole family. Tough gig but try to make it happen. It can be done.
I think Sherrie looks great. I do agree though with "DeeDee Bird" from 8/21 post that most of the viewers don't have the resources to have Fresh food delivered or afford a personal trainer. However, with a lot of motivation and a courageous will power one can accomplish losing weight on one's own. A balance of excercise and eating well, not in excess, will do the trick.
it seems everyone who goes on this show {with the noted exception of rosie} loses weight. i guess having to look at wooppi's face every day could ruin anybody's appatite.
This woman once said on the view that she believed the earth is flat. Its a good thing she got hired in TV because she isnt that bright. She lost weight?? Uh good, she needed to and when your loaded with cash...that certainly isnt hard to do. This woman is an overpaid nitwit.
Yeah I agree with you. no one haves the money these days to go on a diet and stick to it. everyone haves children but since she is so rich someone can watch the kid 24/7. no one haves money like that but rich people do. I mean I love her and The View but its kind of nonsense
first let me say, i am excited and happy for sherri! congrats on your weight loss and lifestyle change. see it's a two part concept - you have to make up your mind that you want to do it and be willing to commit to the change in everything that you do. i think it's funny how everyone is so judgemental when it's not you and you don't know the everyday challenges or historical eating pattern of an individual. i hope that you won't be so quick to judge when it's you or someone - no closer - a loved one/family member; then may be you will seek out and have to help the person if you aren't still judging and looking down your nose at them. or may be it's just a co-worker or neighbor that you always ignore or make rude comments about and think it's just a lack of will power or laziness. hmmmmm - doesn't sound so easy to lend a few minutes of your time. and lastly i agree with the comments about affordability of diet meal plans - but are they really realistic for the average persons income? i hardly believe so and at some point you have to be able to make a meal for yourself or eat outside of the meal plan. i just don't think it's realistic to anyone whether it be fresh diet, diet-to-go, nutrisystem or jenny craig, etc. they just are not going to be affordable for every and you have to learn to eat sensibly and monitor your in-take and exercise (get moving) to maintain a healthy/ier lifestyle. and everyone can not just go out jogging - i wish people would stop writing that like - everyone can do that. like anything - you have to learn to crawl before you walk and certainly before you go jogging/running anywhere! lol everything in moderation and results will start happening. no one gains weight overnight and they can't lose it overnight without surgery and even then there is a recovery time! enough said - that's my skinny on this! again, congrats sherri baby!
Right on deedeebird. I am sorry to say I think this girl is a pig. I watch the show when they have a cooking segment on and she shoves things in her mouth like an animal. She will not keep this weight off. BUT, I agree that the only way to weight is diet and exercise it truely is a life style change
You are absolutly right. God bless her, but I could do the same thing with those tools as well and not complain. But look at Kirsty Alley-she has the funds but not the mindframe so I comment Sherri for her follow thru.
I agree, Sherri you go girl but in the real world, in the working every day world just to make ends meet, it can't be done, I have to fine time just to get in 30 min a week I have to sacrifice something let's see rent or fresh fruit, lights or Bally's, gas or Curves hmmmmmm can I live at Curves, and eat fresh fruit dailey
