Lethal doses of the powerful anesthetic propofol caused the death of Michael Jackson, according to newly unsealed legal documents. Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray said the King of Pop Jackson was suffering from insomnia, and that he had been giving Jackson 50 milligrams of propofol nightly.
Also, an Associated Press source says the Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Jackson's death a homicide. Details After the Jump
Dr. Conrad Murray, who was Michael Jackson's cardiologist, has been a primary person of interest in Jackson's death investigation. Murray has admitted to law enforcement that he administered the drug propofol to the singer. The powerful anesthetic is reportedly what killed Jackson.

Murray was at Jackson's house on the day that he died. According to new documents, he left Jackson to make some phone calls, and when he returned, the King of Pop was not breathing.

Another one of Jackson's doctors, dermatologist Arnold Klein, has also faced speculation that he may have provided the music legend with illegal prescription drugs. He has denied any involvement in Jackson's death.

Jackson's nutritionist Cherilyn Lee has told interviewers that Jackson begged her for drugs. "He didn't take any medications from me, I'm just nutritional. When it switched over to medication, especially that particular medication, I told him -- I only deal with nutrition," she says. Records from her office have been taken to aid in the investigation into his death.

The Jackson family released a statement Monday afternoon commending the authorities on their hard work. "The Jackson family has full confidence in the legal process, and commends the ongoing efforts of the L.A. County Coroner, the L.A. District Attorney and the L.A. Police Department," the statement said. "The family looks forward to the day that justice can be served."
Murray, who has been at the center of the investigation into Jackson's death, says he dropped the dosage because he feared Jackson was forming an addiction.
He then gave Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol mixed with other sedatives. On June 25, Murray says he gave Jackson valium, lorazepam, midazolam and other drugs. When Jackson still wasn't able to sleep, Murray gave him 25 milligrams of Propofol after Jackson demanded it. More Info on Propofol
According to the unsealed documents, Murray told police that Jackson was medicated when he left to make phone calls to family members, but was not breathing upon his return. He performed CPR on Jackson, who was rushed to UCLA Medical Center where he was declared dead. TMZ Has the Documents
An Associated Press law enforcement claims the death has already been ruled a homicide, reporting the coroner determined a fatal combination of drugs was given to Jackson, causing his death. The AP reports that Murray is already the target of a manslaughter investigation by the LAPD.
According to TMZ, Murray reported Jackson wasn't breathing at around 11 AM, but a 911 call wasn't made until 12:21. Murray made 3 separate calls from 11:18 to 12:05 according to the documents. Murray also refused to sign the death certificate at the UCLA Medical Center, TMZ is reporting.
Authorities said they could find no evidence that Murray ordered or obtained the drugs under his medical license or DEA tracking number. Police did spot at least eight bottles of propofol in the house along with other prescription drugs prescribed to Jackson by Dr. Murray, Dr. Arnold Klein and Dr. Allan Metzger.
Other drugs confiscated in the search of Jackson's house include Clonazepam, Lorazepam, Lorazepam, Tamsulosin, Temazepam, Tizanidine, Trazodone and Valium.
The investigation of Murray's involvement has focused on whether he was negligent in giving Jackson the drug to Jackson outside a hospital setting and whether that justifies an involuntary manslaughter charge.
Last week, Murray released a video in which he claimed he "told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail."
None of us have the priviledge of walking into our doctor's office and DEMANDING anything.(unless of course we have the $$ to pay him off.) MJ was an addict, his greedy doctor knew it, and they were BOTH to blame.
We dont know, if Michael demanded anything. Its Dr. Murray's word against a dead man. To Sara--Michael said that he shared his bed but he slept on the floor. They dont play that sound bite. They only play the part where he says its ok to "share" your bed. People just took that and ran with it.
We need to learn from this, that is the purpose for it all. You must be your own advocate and take care of yourself. It is obvious, due to MJ's childhood, that he didn't know how to take care of himself. He left that in the hands of some Dr. that obviously did not know what he was doing and did not have the courage to stand up to MJ.& tell him he needed to get off the drugs. MJ gave his life, heart and soul to the people and somehow along the way lost sight of what was really important in this life. His song's told us one thing but his actions another. He didn't care enough about himself or his kids to take care of himself so that he would be here for them. It is no surprise due to his childhood and the fact that he was never taught how to take care of himself. Lets all learn from that so it doesn't happen to us. That would be, I have no doubt, what Michael's soul would want.
Just because someone pays you to do something dangerous that may take their life don't make it right for you to take it. If you love that person as his fans do or family should, you want them to get help and be well.
wow hes dead leave him alone seriously i mean yeah he was freakin amazing so leave it like that he did have problems but they could have been depression or something like really if he was alive he would want you to lay off on his life so hes dead we all know that ya'll dont have enough news to get you on the headlines but so what lay off micheal jackson.!!! its getting REALLLY annoying
Jackson was an addict this is obvious as a doctor he had no reason to give a person he knew was an addict drugs the one drug we know was to be used only in a hospital setting I don't care how much money u have your bedroom is not a hospital I don't think this doctor is guilty of murder but should be prosecuted for something his actions were subhuman to say the lest I hope their are not Meany like him
No one can properly comment who has not been in a person's shoes for some time. I know the misery of not being able to sleep - tired, frustrated, but wide-awake with the brain on a never-ending merry-go-round. You know you should be able to do better and that keeps you even more wide awake. Unless you've been there, you can't know the frustration, pain and anger.
Yaya we all care. So now what? Do we complain amongst ourselves about the cause or do we do something positive ,maybe help someone else addicted to drugs or alcohol and possibly save their life. Atleast something good can become from all this. Some of you people are totally obsessed with mj beyond the norm. MJ isn't my god he was just a troubled man with mental issues. Everyone may think they knew him,but in reality we only saw glimpses of what he was. Get over your grief. Maybe donate to the aspca and help a animal or two in mj's name. I know he loved animals and it be a good way to honor mj's memory.
Hey COPS!!!! What is there to consider???? The doctor heavily medicated MJ and then "LEFT" him to make personal calls??? I thought a person undergoing these stronf medications are suppose to be TIGHTLY MONITORED? The doctor should be charged with negligent homicide ... end of story.
jstmom: You are a fool as your comments reflect. You are probably sitting at home watching tv while your illegitimate kids play in the nasty toilet. Get up off your overweight a** and do something for yourself. What kinds of med are you taking to sustain? You don't know a damn thing about MJ. You shouldn't be so quick to comment on hearsay. Besides someone else told you who you are -- do you really know yourself? Get off welfare.
What I find difficult in all of this is the lack of proportion that I'm reading here in most of these comments. Yes, Dr. Murray should be punished for aiding an addict, but I am astonished at the number of "fans" who have attached sole blame onto him. I guess it is easier to idolize someone when you can blameshift all of that indivdual's faults and excesses onto someone else.
Micheal Jackson will never be forgotten in the black families minds. His family was like the Kennendy's they were good hard working families. And they didn't steal from the american peop;e to get it they earned it. So all you HATER'S out there get a life and back off. He was never convicted of any crimes and the families that took his money found a honey whole and used it. they are the ones that shoul be ashamed for using their children because they were so jealous of the relatinship that they had with Michael. Maybe if they were better parents this would never have came up!!
Speak for yourself dear. Not all Black families worshiped the Jacksons, mine certainly dosen't. They were entertainers yes but their personal lives were dysfuntional to say the least. And they did not hold a candle to the Kennedy's when it came to public service.
WE CARE, WHEN A GREEDY DOCTOR GIVES UP HIS OATH FOR MONEY IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED, PERHAPS MICHAEL WOULD STILL BE WITH US IF THIS SO CALLED DR. WOULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING INSTEAD OF FEARING THE LOSS OF HIS MEAL TICKET!!
