Lindsay 'Upset' After Apparent Robbery

Lindsay Lohan's home in Los Angeles has been robbed.

The actress' mom, Dina Lohan, told PEOPLE that her daughter is "okay, but upset," after the break in.

"The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed. Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too. Thank God she wasn't home," the Lohan matriarch added.

Police and repairmen arrive at Lindsay Lohan's Los Angeles, CA home on August 23, 2009 after the actress allegedly discovered she had been burglarized during the early morning hours.

"Lindsay and her sister Ali Lohan were fortunate [in] that they weren't in the home when this incident happened," a rep for the 'Mean Girls' star said in a statement.

When questioned about the incident, the Los Angeles Police Department responded, "All we can confirm is that we are investigating a possible break in at the residence and we still have officers on the scene. We got a call shortly before 7 a.m. this morning and it's still under investigation. No arrests have been made."

recall a few months ago, that article when she called a lock smith, ang while he was picking the lock she found a way in and stupidedly said, " I already found a way in so im not paying you. Not to say the locksmith robbed her, yet I do agree with some others who agree that what goes around , comes around so Lindsey be careful and start traeting others equal, especially people who help you when you call for it.

I don't actually know how I came across this site, but, you need to chill. The hate is uncalled for. It's obvious from the uninformed comments that none of you have ever had a significant business or personal relationship with the woman so none of you can accurately judge her character. A comment from a former business partner might be credible, but random rage from, well, frankly, jealous people, just makes everyone sound stupid. Calm down. What is going on in your own life that you need to lash out at a stranger? I'm sure she had an alarm system and then some. She was likely hit by a professional crew and stood zero chance, alarm or no alarm and I doubt it was a coincidence that she wasn't home - why would anyone take the risk of injuring her or her sister? They want her money, not her.

K now, all the angry people close their eyes and imagine a happy vacation place for 60 seconds.....jeez...
