Melanie Griffith Returns to Rehab
The actress is seeking treatment for undisclosed issues at the Cirque Lodge in Utah. "She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy, " her publicist Robin Baum told Star magazine. "This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago."
Griffith, who is married to Antonio Banderas, has struggled with substance abuse for decades and has twice sought medical treatment to help her kick the habit.
Sources tell Star that this trip to rehab is for alcohol.
"She's working with the counsellors on getting control of her demons. The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she get clean and sober."

She's no longer relevant, but her publicist thinks that she might garner some sympathy from this publicity item. WRONG!

Who are you to say who's relevant or not? This isn't about fame nor fortune, it's a life. She doesn't want to have her life destroyed by alcohol and drugs. To me, that's more relevant than fame. Any life saved is relevant.

You are one sick puppy. Don't you ever again claim to determine is relevant and who is not. What are people saying about you. Think before you open that garbage bag. She is adorable as most people are. Everyone has an issue including you, so admit it. What is yours? Too bad you can't be an inspiration to others instead you choose to be a downer. Get off your high horse and act human. These actors/actresses make the choice yes to entertain us. Unfortunately, their childhood and adult lives are very stressful as many of us non entertainers. Too many people struggle from countless addictions, they need help to bounce back not any additional hurtful opinions, or enablers. Leave her and others alone. Make something useful of yourself.

How relevant are you? It's always the never was's that have so much to say about a celebrity. At least they've been on the radar.

You cared enough to read the article! Maybe your own demons are lurking inside you and in order for you to feel good about yourself you feel the need to put down someone that is at the very least acknowledging that she has a problem. We should all be that brave! Best wishes to you Melanie, and I'm happy for you that Antonio is there for you.

Hey Meekie, What's your claim to fame? And who are you to judge another? Publicity stunt? A normal brain doesn't function like that. You poor lonely soul.
And as for you Jenny. Don't you know how dangerous it is squirting that worthless crap up your ass? No one is interested. Conducting a business on aol is a TOS. So squirt away. I hope you get good and sick as karma for clogging up these posts.

Hey Meeker you sound like a very insensitive person. I believe that we all have made mistakes in life and by seeking treatment Melanie cares more about her health and marriage than she does about publicity. Get a heart because you seem to have lost it sometime in life if it were even there to begin with. Your an idiot! Sound more like a weeper.

I can't understand the Melanie Griffins and Heather Locklears and whitney Houstons of the world...they have so much going for them and can use their energy and position for better causes other than selfish preservation. WE ALL GET OLD...deal with it. Find a more meaningful purpose in life, get a backbone, and age gracefully. Stop living in the past and using booze or drugs as a crutch...this is the only life you get and your letting it pass you bye. Shame on you.

Although it is difficult to understand why "these people" do what they do, do any of us really know the "what and why" of all of our behavior. Don't all of us make a mess of things from time to time, and not know why until looking in retrospect (if even then). These "demons" are the various coping strategies we've developed over the years. Our angels and demons are sometimes one and the same. Not all of us suffer addictions, at least to substances. But what of the compulsively nice and compliant? Doesn't that cause problems for self and others eventually as well? What about compulsively "driven" and "successful?" Do our loved always benefit from that? As Clapton said, "Before you accuse me...take a look at yourself."

I really don't think addiction has anything to do with age....its a disease and you have no idea what you are talking about...do your research before commenting on a topic you know nothing about
