Exclusive Video: Inside Katharine McPhee's 'Had It All' Video Shoot

Katharine McPhee is back in a big, blonde way. The former 'Idol' runner-up is ready to take the music world by storm with her new album 'Unbroken' (out on Oct. 6) and PopEater was lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the video for her single, 'Had It All.' McPhee tells us she's digging her more "adult" sound, and also also discusses Paula Abdul's 'Idol' departure. And are there any more kids on the way for the married pop star? The 'Idol' alum says she hopes that Paula Abdul is "great," and that she hopes "she goes and does what she really wanted to do," now that she's no longer an 'Idol' judge. When asked if she'd herself be interested in a guest judge spot on 'Idol,' McPhee shyly accepts.

"I guess if I was invited ... that's my family. I'd always be happy to be back. I don't know if I'd be very comfortable to be judging all of a sudden," she tells PopEater.

McPhee also tells PopEater that being married for more than a year isn't making her want to settle down with kids just yet.

"It's sort of hard to plan... I really want to live out the record. Plus, I really like kids, but when they start crying it really makes me nervous. I don't think I'm quite there yet," she jokingly said with a smile.

You know the color of someone's hair doesn't make you who you really are. However, I do prefer Katherine as a brunette. When she appeared on Idol she was outstanding. She has a beautiful voice and her apperance was great. Now she does look like all the rest of the women out there. What is this a Brittney Spears contest. Please go back to the wholesome girl you were. You are a beautiful woman in your own right. No I am not gay just an observer of human nature. lol. Some people out there get vicious when there is no need. Just be a human being with compassion.

Being a brunette it is nice to try something different. I hate that fact that ALOT of brunettes always feel like they have to be blonde to get something or feel something more. I don't know many if ANY brunettes that look better as blondes. Goes to show you were meant to be what you were meant to be.

On American idol she looked good etc. but should have never gone as far as she did. Anyone else that forgot the words to a song got voted off! But her sex appeal let her go on. The blond hair just gives her a cheap look and for all the young girls that loved her, let's pray they don't go out and do the same to their hair!
