Kat Mcphee seems to be someone who is a bit directionless about this celebrity thing. The dyed hair is her trying to do what, channel the Courtney Love/Anna Nicole-Hooker look? Where is her manager and stylist?

I predicted that she would never be able to claw her way to the top as her voice while good isn't great and her drive is suspect as I can guess that she is really just a spoiled little upper class girl. Nothing wrong with that but pop stars are made up of aggressive working class and poor kids who have no other options thus they work and work and work some more..

After Idol when the touring got tough she was the first one to hit the skids claiming exhaustion. She is a baby diva without the hits to back it up. Her claim to fame is what? Second place on a tv talent show. She can't write nor compose and she sure as heck can't dance so what else is there? All these Idol grads are as malleable as candle wax on a hot day. They should call it American Puppets. I am looking forward to the day when the pop charts are not filled with either AI, Disney or pop-hop acts. Perhaps that day will never come.

I thought she was always so beautiful but as a blonde??????? I can not believe I am saying this but she is a better , sexier brunette by far. Perhaps it is the black eyebrows with the blonde hair. Her face is always beautiful though.

I don't like the new look and I really never thought she had much talent on Idol, so I guess dressing sexy and bleaching out your hair takes you where you want to go, its very sad to see these girls do this stuff to themselves in order to get what they want out of life. What is so hard about being yourself to help other growing girls just be themselves instead of looking up to this sleaziness, its all not sane at all.

McPhee is VERY annoying.Watch the "special features"
of the movie she is in with Amy F about the girl that is kicked out of the Playboy mansion(cant remmber the name?)They have a lot of "behind the scenes" footage of McPhee and and she will get on your nerves in 5 seconds. i feel bad for the dumb-as* dude that ends up with her.

I'm disappointed in the hair. Katharine is a classic beauty, with her soft features and dark eyes. I am really sorry she feels the need to change her hair color to appear to be someone she's not.

The new make-over is a sell-out. Desperate attempt for sales. Ahh, but she is beautiful. Her stylist went the wrong way! Attempting to image the old school look. I could puke. I would rather be totally shocked with a 'new creation' rather than a copy-cat look of a blonde bimbo. She should have went with a young Elizabeth Taylor look with gawdy jewels and gowns. Not a Madonna/blondie look-a-like. Oh well, just my opinion.

I think her hair looks great ! The only thing is with hair naturally being so dark, she is going to be a the hair salon all the time keeping up with the roots. Other than that I think she looks wonderful and this just might be her BIG break out into the big ol' music world and make her a big ol' music star.

Catherine, I just had to let you know, that unfortunately, I agree with some of the comments below. Honey, you do look like "all the other," Like a rock star. You are not a rock star. You are a gorgeous woman with a gorgeous voice and looking like all the others or like a rock star doesn't even fit with your type of singing and your lovely renditions and singing with Andre Bocelli. How many rock stars do you think Andr Bocelli would even begin to sing with? Probably mainly none. Honey, go back to your natural look. Be who you are. You top any rock stars. You top Beyonce. You top Celine Deon. Why are you trying to be like the rock stars and like those that don't have the voice quality and ability that you have? Give it some thought, Catherine. You are cheapening yourself. Please don't do that. Re think this blonde hair thing. And...whoever got you to turn blonde might be trying to make you to be what they want you to be instead of the beautiful woman with a beautiful voice who has had the honor and privilege of singing with Andre Bocelli. It's no wonder women have such a problem with body image and eating disorders in this country. Clearly, the celebs aren't as guilty for setting and holding "standards" as are the members of the general public, who have so much to say about the superficial that it becomes paramount.
