Anderson Cooper Rips Into Speidi

We always knew that Anderson Cooper was the silver fox, but we never knew just how sharp his claws were! Thanks to Heidi Montag and her Miss Universe performance, Anderson was ready to pounce and did just that, tearing Heidi (wife of our pal Spencer Pratt) to shreds, saying she has found a "fresh new way to embarrass herself." Cooper put the hard news on hold this week to dedicate two minutes to eviscerating Montag and her performance, starting off his rant with the following: "I don't really know who this person is, nor why she is pretending to be a singer nor why anyone should listen to her, but apparently she's famous."

He continued, saying that Montag is "so famous she actually Twitters.... And she Twittered to congratulate herself. She tweeted she had so much fun, and she also thanked God. I don't think God had anything to do with this production."

After a quick back-and-forth with a CNN contributor, Cooper hypothesized that "If God has the time to work on this production and that's the best God can do, we're all in trouble." When Cooper continued, saying he wasn't sure who Heidi even was, his counterpart informed him that "she's married that annoying Spencer Pratt." Ouch.

AC rocks, Heidi is NOT a celebrity, she just has a really good publicist. She has no talent, the video clip proves that. As far as AC goes, what he does in his private life is his business. I respect and admire him for the fact that his dirty laundry is NOT on the front page of USWeekly. Honestly, you know you suck if Anderson Cooper calls you out on it.

It's a sad day when I find myself writing that I am defending Team Heidi; but Anderson Cooper has been way too catty of late with some of his comments. I heard him insult the latest "Batchelorette" and now he's working on Heidi Montag. What I don't understand is why Cooper feels the need to rip these people apart. In his position as an anchor of his own news show, one would think he would be above such cattiness. Apparently he is not. Heidi Montag's performance was no worse than half of the pop star divas that are making the rounds. Ease up, Cooper. You may be gaining the Perez Hilton followers; but some adults find your behavior churlish and infantile.

The only thing wrong with Cooper's comments was that they took up time on what is supposed to be serious news. Who cares about "Speidi," the Gosselins, the Kardashians, or any of their ilk?

Heidi was BAAAAAD but this Flo Rida character must have crawled out from under a rock! Talk about NO talent! He couldn't do anything except move around the stage doing a terrible rendition of the song and ogling the ladies.

I could have done better than that! Is the Donald just fishing for the teen audience with names that he hasn't checked out? Did he really bother to preview these acts? I can't imagine that he did!
