Anderson Cooper Rips Into Speidi

We always knew that Anderson Cooper was the silver fox, but we never knew just how sharp his claws were! Thanks to Heidi Montag and her Miss Universe performance, Anderson was ready to pounce and did just that, tearing Heidi (wife of our pal Spencer Pratt) to shreds, saying she has found a "fresh new way to embarrass herself." Cooper put the hard news on hold this week to dedicate two minutes to eviscerating Montag and her performance, starting off his rant with the following: "I don't really know who this person is, nor why she is pretending to be a singer nor why anyone should listen to her, but apparently she's famous."

He continued, saying that Montag is "so famous she actually Twitters.... And she Twittered to congratulate herself. She tweeted she had so much fun, and she also thanked God. I don't think God had anything to do with this production."

After a quick back-and-forth with a CNN contributor, Cooper hypothesized that "If God has the time to work on this production and that's the best God can do, we're all in trouble." When Cooper continued, saying he wasn't sure who Heidi even was, his counterpart informed him that "she's married that annoying Spencer Pratt." Ouch.

Seriously!?

Did you see her performance at the pageant? It was ridiculously bad! I kept thinking 'this has to be a spoof about Britney Spears' Even her outfit wasn't original! She can't even lip sync to her own lyrics! And her Ass-Clown of a husband just sits back and pimps her out. How did these two even become famous? I think their 15 minutes must be about up. And as someone who really doesn't care one way or another about Anderson Cooper or his sexual preference (a lot are eluding to him being gay...so what if he is? What difference does it make?)I can say that he has more intelligence in his thumb than Heidi & Spencer combined.

Why is he singling her out? No-talent "pop" divas have been around since the 1980s, when Madonna, Janet Jackson and their like discovered overly-produced music videos and constant hyper-cutting could disguise the fact that neither could sing OR dance. Same with Brittney Spears. Today you don't need talent to be a successful "singer." Just a good engineer.

Hey, say what you will about Madonna, at least she actually CAN sing and dance. She got into college on a dance scholarship, for christ's sake. Don't compare this woman to Madonna. Madonna was at least interesting once.

Im pretty sure that Brittany already wore that outfit at one of her public prefomances, and this Heidi chick is NOTHING! Shes a waste of air and time.. Not only that, her "Hubs" is a total douche bag. These two need to stop pretending and get on with their pathetic lives.. Gosh.. and all the AC bashin is pointless, you guys are just jealous that he put her in her place and you dont have your own show to speak your own mind.. So what if hes gay or GV son, I think hes a man of his word and he brings a lot of things to our attention that no one else in american news does, he sticks his neck out for the undergroud stories and all you guys have to say is something about his sexuallity and nothing about his hard work, educate yourselves more.

i dont care for spencer or heidi. but why should a so called well respected journalist go out of his way to trash someone? have you noticed that these so called journalists always insert themselves into a story? how unprofessional is that? and for me, its not about heidi or spencer, its the fact that journalists should be neutral.

they insert their opinion in world events and sway opinions. i once heard him refer to the leader of another country as a "nutjob". why did he have to be a nutjob? because of a different point of view? and why try to convince us that he's a nutjob? just give the news and let us make up our own minds. his job is to present the news. where does his opinion come into it?

and why was he giving her a second of airtime anyway? just so he could attack her? maybe she does have fans, maybe she doesnt, but why should his view of her be known? shes enjoying her 15 minutes. why is that such a problem?

That performance (and I use the term loosely) was one of, if not the most horrific things I have ever seen in my life, short of 28 months I spent in Vietnam. I don't know how the hell this woman or that twit of a husband of hers got "famous", but someone really screwed up. What's worse than anything else is the amount of attention these two clods actually get. I would tend to think of them as a multi car wreck on a major freeway. You know you can't stand the sight of it, but you can't help but look. I do believe though that if people would simply STOP paying these idiots any attention, then maybe, just maybe they might finally go away. Perhaps a good old fashioned boycott is in order. No one should watch ANY program they are associated with and no one should blog about them. If they are boycotted, you can bet your ass they would go away in a heartbeat. Especially since the powers that be in the broadcast media would never stand for such a ratings drop. Think about it.
