Awesome news! I love True Blood and I think E.R.W would be a good vampire fit. She's got the whole neo goth thing going and all. uhh and pretty much all vamps are 'bi' because they seduce for blood obviously.

Absolutely!! Great show and Evan Rachel Wood will be PERFECT as Sophie Ann!!
Maybe she should team up with Xena
Shame you can't make movies and TV shows anymore without including the Pervs
just sick of all the gayness going on and the way hollywood is promoting it
I didn't recognize her from "Across the Universe". She lokks so diferent. She is really an amazing actress. I love the series totally. My daughter and grandaughters are sharing the fun with me. Trubies range from 15 to 61 in my family. Makes me wish I could live forever as strong and vital as these characters. Thanks for the fantasy.
I don't think they could have found anyone else more suited to the role of the Vampire Queen. Can't wait until Sunday to get more True Blood.

Way to freakin ruin vampires for me!!! }:(

My daughter and I are big Sookie fans but loath the show. The show does not follow the books or the characters and seems very focused on Cable TV sex and less focused on the stories. I quit watching after the first episode when I saw them introduce a character (Sookie's best friend in later books) as a bartender and a sassy mouth one at that. Nothing like the character in the books. My daughter tried again after a couple of weeks and said it still stunk so we re-read the books.

The books are better. My mother and I loved them but when my mother saw the overload of sex in the first episode, she stop watching the series.
I soldiered on. I really like how they expanded Lafayette's role and I think Jason is much funnier on this series BUT they can still stand to tone down the sex, not ramp it up.
YOU are sooooo right! This show sucks worse than vampires! NONE of the actors are remotely like the characters in the books and they have totally destroyed all of the story lines...and as you stated, it's all about the sex and perversions! I don't care if the author IS involved...shame on her for helping ruin her own stories!!!! I have spoken to numerous people who feel as we do, and have helped many get into the actual books (they were unaware of the books!).
WE do not watch this show and will not...as you said, all it took was one viewing to know they'd ruined it!
this isn't new....check out The Hunger with Catherine Deneuve, Susan Sarandon and David Bowie for the bisexual nature of vampires.....really great film, better book

She look like a vampire type anyway

i really dislike that stupid whore Evan Rachel Wood, she's not attractive to me and I dont think she can act. Just my opinion, there are many better people they could have picked...especially when it comes to a Queen of Vampires on a hit series!!

I thought she WAS a lesbian vampire.

I'm sick of the whole vampire trend going on lately. True Blood, Being Human, Twilight, etc... Can anybody say "been there, done that"? True Blood is nothing but a poorly written, poorly acted excuse to show nubile young "stars" w/their clothes off.

Take a chill pill, its supposed to entertain, not get your veins pumped up......
Believe me, I'm not pumped up. I'm bored to death. I forgot to mention the extra lame looking "Vampire Diaries" in my list by the way. How many Ann Rice rip offs do we need at one time? At least she didn't have them going around humping everything in site. A neat trick for a corpse by the way...
You don't know what your talking about plus your a prude you haven't ever watched True Blood. Twilight is a pretty good movie along with the books as well. I like that the Vampire trend is back.
Vampire Diaries looks pretty good it premiers in two weeks. Ann Rice wasn't the first one to write about Vampires which isn't a rip off which is a lie.
Actually, I'm far from a prude. As a matter of fact I can honestly say the only good thing to come from True Blood was that I finally got to see Anna Paquin's tits (though I like her better as a brunette). Go back to reading Tiger Beat kiddo. I hope that's the case, because any adult who likes Twilight obviously has an IQ to match their shoe size.
