Mary Tudor was Henry VIII's daughter, not his grand-niece. She was also known as "Bloody Mary" because she tried to return England to an all-Catholic country, and had non-Catholics routinely murdered.

Henry VIII's daughter, Mary Tudor, did not have any children. Henry VII's daughter, Mary Tudor, did have children.

Mary was the name of Henry VIII's sister and the name of his daughter by Catherine of Aragon. However, Mary the daughter had no children, so the line has to descend from Mary the sister.

Well, yeah...Henry VIII had a sister named Mary Tudor, but he also had a daughter that he named Mary Tudor....by his first wife Catherine. I'm not sure which one this baby supposedly descended from, but Henry VIII did have an eldest daughter named Mary Tudor (AKA, Bloody Mary...half sister to Queen Elizabeth, daughter of Anne Boleyn). Not that any of that matters.

Queen Mary had no children, when she died Elizebeth I became Queen and an Earl is not royalty. He is part of the nobility which is not the same thing. Didn't anyone study English history?

Her place in the pecking order of British Royalty is one position behind the night dustman at Windsor Castle.

He is NOT destined to be royalty. He, as Lord Devon, is part of the ARISTOCRACY. The only royals in England are those in the direct line of succession to the Queen. If truth be told, the members of the aristocracy have their origins in being born on the "wrong side of the blanket" to royals. But they are not royals.

This is all really pathetic news on here. Congratulations! But they are not the only people in the World having babies...and who cares about Jon & Kates' dirty laundry! And is anyone else tired of hearing about Michael Jackson? I guess this is what they call simple things for simple minds! I didn't even have to read any of it, all I had to do was look at the picture's, and now exactly what the pathetic news was about!
Good night!

Congratulations but I hope they know he is in line for nothing. This royalty foolishness makes me laugh. The monorchy are made up of sponges. Sponges that live off of the people that don't understand they are supporting this leaches. The monarchy means nothing and accomplishes nothing yet the English people continue supporting them. Unbelievable in this day and age people wouldn't wake up.

Funny, I found those castles in England to be ugly-I was so bored on a tour from Oxford U I thought I would SCREAM. Second in line to the title? I'd sell it. Castles are so cheap in England who would care? Henry IV is a brilliant commentary on the hopes of the ENglish that one day all the royals would be in body bags while the future king chased a French coquette. At least France has beauty and that is more than England could ever hope for. UGH.

There were two Mary Tudors. One was the daughter of Henry VII and younger sister to Henry VIII. She was married twice, once to the King of France, Louis XII (who died 82 days after their wedding). Her second husband was Charles Brandon, the Duke of Suffolk. They had 3 children, but their only son died when he was a teen. They were the grandparents of Lady Jane Grey, "the Nine Days' Queen." Henry VIII's oldest daughter, by Katherine of Aragon was also named Mary. She was married to King Philip of Spain and died without issue. So NO ONE is descended from Henry VIII's daughter Mary. From Henry VII's daughter Mary -- yes, that is possible.
And the kid in question has a father who is a member of the aristocracy, not the nobility. There are so many incorrect facts in this article that the author should be fired.
