Chelsea Handler Plays Coy About Split

Although Chelsea Handler is pretty outspoken about other people's lives, she's tight-lipped about her own. Earlier this week, several media outlets reported that Handler split with her longtime beau, Ted Harbert -- but she's keeping coy about whether the rumors are true. "I only comment on other people's lives, not my own," the 'Chelsea Lately' star told PEOPLE.

The couple had been living together in Los Angeles for the past three years, and allegedly Handler kicked the Comcast CEO out of their home this week. Harbert oversees E! Entertainment Television -- the same network of Handler's talk show.

I've been a fan of Chelsea since her "Behaving Badly" days. I would also say to her critics: don't forget she's had two best selling books. No easy feat even w/the help of ghost writers. I really like the panel part of her show, but those D list guests are a real drag. I'm usually flipping channels at that point.

As far as her break up w/The Silver Fox goes: I'm sure shacking up w/the Pres of Comcast helped her get the show. However, I think she's cemented enough of a reputation to continue from this point on her own & do very well.

I love Chelsea Handler and LOVE her show! She's hysterical. She's like the undereducated version of Bill Maher.

It's irritating when people too dumb to recognize the difference make these comments. Maher -- like jon stewart or dennis miller -- are mundane comic-characters playing intellectuals. They're all reminiscent of Alex Trebek feingning the erudition behind Jeopardy questions. If Maher had only lucked into gigs playing pizza deliverymen or as a game-show host, THAT's precisely how he'd be known. I don't know if Handler's any smarter, mind you, but don't assume she's dumber merely because her show isn't pretentious.

Chelsea Handler is hysterical! She is one of the funniest comediennes out there! sorry for the people that don't get her humor or can't take a joke!

I do belive Nico is right, she's pretty established by now and people tune in to watch - so I can see her show continuing.

Love Chelsea and Chewey and her panel of funny people. Sorry that her show comes on so late because I am one of the working class. SHE cracks me up. She says what I think most of the time. I love Chelsea, Chewy & the rest of the round table comics. It's the funniest show on TV. If she kicked him out, she must have a good reason why. Besides it's her personal life, it has nothing to do with her show. Hopefully, Ted will feel the same.
