Jackson's Death Officially a Homicide

Michael Jackson's death has officially been ruled a homicide, as the Los Angeles County Coroner has released a partial report on the King of Pop's death. The report cites "acute propofol intoxication" as the main cause of Jackson's death, officially linking the powerful anesthetic to his demise.

The report also lists "benzodiazepine effect" as another factor that contributed to his death, due to the drugs midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine and ephedrine being found in his system as well.

In unsealed warrant documents that were released this week, it was noted that Jackson's doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, admitted to giving the pop star 50 milligrams of propofol a night for a long period of time, but cut his dose to 25 milligrams.

According to TMZ, someone of Jackson's body size would need about 400 milligrams of propofol to sleep for 8 hours, which would amount to 16 times the dosage that Murray claims he gave Jackson.

Though the death has been ruled a homicide, that doesn't technically mean a crime was committed or that charges against others are guaranteed. It simply means that someone else's involvement played a role in the death. Others causes of death a coroner can use are: natural, suicide, accident, and "could not be determined."

While some details of Jackson's autopsy have been released, the coroner did not release the full report, citing ongoing investigations.

Jackson was 50 years old when he died on June 25.

Dr. Conrad Murray, who was Michael Jackson's cardiologist, has been a primary person of interest in Jackson's death investigation. Murray has admitted to law enforcement that he administered the drug propofol to the singer. The powerful anesthetic is reportedly what killed Jackson.

Jackson's nutritionist Cherilyn Lee has told interviewers that Jackson begged her for drugs. "He didn't take any medications from me, I'm just nutritional. When it switched over to medication, especially that particular medication, I told him -- I only deal with nutrition," she says. Records from her office have been taken to aid in the investigation into his death.

How do you make such judgment and such claims? Were you there when he touched those so called boys? Did you SEE it? please don't make ignorant claims if you didn't see nothing. Michael Jackson was a easy target for those pathetic familys who were seeking money. They knew all they had to do was go to his house and make claim.... so until there is PROOF that he really DID do that, until you actually SAW him do that, get off with this fake accusations and get a life already.... that dr. should be charged because he KNEW he was an addict. WHY WAS HE STILL GIVING IT TO HIM... BECAUSE HE WANTED THE MONEY... SO HE IS JUST AS GUILTY...

Sister Janet said something wasn't right. She said the room in which MJ died was a mess with IV bottles and it looked to her like the doctor did a lot of extraordinary things to try and save MJ. She had a hunch that the doctor had done something wrong then tried to fix it.
Anyway, I want to commend AOL for finally breaking this story. MSN had it on-line last Sunday and with more details. This is old news.

The man had suffered through his life and died unnecessarily. His life should be celebrated. He made many gloomy hearts happy and alive through his vibrant music not only in United States but all over the world. He not only made many hearts happy, he also contributed immensely to the American music industry and popularized our music all over the world. A addicts thinking is fogged up, its the doctors job to cut them off of any drugs that he was supplying Michael with. This doctor clearly didnt do that. Due to the greed of the doctor, he choice money over Michaels life. The doctor should pay in a few ways. Jial time, and money to the family. I hope the Jacksons sue this doctor, loseing money is the worst thing that could ever happen to any doctor.

It should be listed as suicide because MJ killed himself by his own behaviors...He demanded all these things, people did what he asked them to do. If MJ could stick the needle in himself he would have but he needed help and medical help at that. His own behaviors were his downfall. Very sad too.

When do we start to take responsibility and be accountable for our own actions. Jackson was abusing drugs long before Murray came into the picture. Was Murray wrong? Yes, but jackson played a far greater role in his own death.

When John Belushi died I recall he was passed out when his female friend gave him another injection that caused his overdose and death. She was indicted and jailed. She also was not and educated medical professional who knew explicitely about the chemicals she was injecting. Michael was unconcious and given an injection of chemicals that killed him. His doctor knew more about what he was doing then Belushi's friend. Not a hard decision in figuring out who was more culpable, the uneducated girl, the addict, or the medical professional who accidentally killed you while attempting to pay for his fancy cars and mortgages through your addiction.

When you mess with your body there is a price to pay. Jackson messed not only with his exterior but also with his interior so how long did he expect to get away with it?
Blame the doctor? Well if they catch a drug dealer he gose to jail, no? So yes he should go to jail. As for the tag along family I hope they need to get back to work soon they deserve it especially the father!

A doctor takes a hippocratic oath to PRESERVE life, not jeopardize it -- "Above all do no harm". If the doctor lost his job in doing this, then so be it. He would have maintained his integrity, and his medical license. But as it would appear the love of MONEY got the best of him here, and as a result he has lost both his integrity and his medical license.
