Susan Boyle sit down, there's a new foreigner who has a ton of 'Talent.'
'Ukraine's Got Talent' winner Kseniya Simonova does something we've never seen before -- drawing in the sand.
Set to music, Simonova depicts the invasion of Ukraine by Germany in World War II. Watch It
In the over eight minute long performance, she shows the struggle and devastation of the country using only the sand and ends with the message "you are always near."
it was amazing to watch, finally something worthwhile watching on tv, the music went great with the art and was just as important to the piece can anyone give me the name of the music especially the man with the low voice, i kno the last piece was metallica unbelievable to hear it like that though
1945!!!? That's when my family (taking me with them as a 10 year old child) fled Ukraine because the Soviets were again bringing their reign of terror to those who wished to see an Independent Ukraine!
nobody said it was new. your seeing it years ago does not dimish the talent and emotion that flows thru this gifted woman. to me, it's far more than interesting....the artist involved me in the story she was telling...and the audience as well. i'm glad you were 'interested'. i personally was 'moved'.
Dowell, the second sentence of the article says "does something we've never seen before", so, clearly, someone is saying it's something new - at least to them. The comment about it not being new has less to do with diminishing the artist and more to do with diminishing thew 3rd grade education level and overall lack of life experience of the writer of the article.
I don't know what's wrong with all these people! You, Frankie, didn't say anything wrong. People are so harsh and judgemental these days! Eesh people-CHILL!
I don't think your remark was in any way demeaning to this lady's talent. I'm among those who've never seen this art form and it didn't seem that way to me! Some people are on a hair trigger.
Music isn't new either - but that does not diminish the amazing talents of each new performer that comes our way. Perhaps the author of the article meant to imply that this particular story was told in a new way - not that the technique itself was new........
I agree with Frankie. There was a commercial a year or so ago that used sand drawing with music. I think it was for life insurance or something. And I don't think Frankie was insulting the young, talented girl, he was simply stating that it IS something we have seen before. Maybe ppl should actually read the story and comments before jumping down someone's throat. The girl has a unique talent, that she learned from someone else.
This has to be the best depiction of any kind of artistic work in the world ,it is very amazing the skills that this girl has and what she has done with it i wish i could have that last pic in the video as a piece ,all i can say is wow
TRULY FANTASTIC... A VERY GIFTED YOUNG LADY. MY WIFE IS FROM KIEV AND LIVED THRU IT, AS A CHILD. I WOULD LIKE TO PRESERVE IT TO A CD... IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO DO IT, PLEASE POST INFO.

Sand drawing is not new. I've seen it years ago. It's interesting to watch the various techniques of different sand drawing artists.

Obviously, you are trying to make the artist's work insignificant by giving it the ho hum grade of "interesting." You got an ego problem?

So it isn't new. It was, however, AWESOME!!!! Maybe you don't have talent and are a bit jealous.
