Why They're About to Pop: Formed in 2005, the Sunstreak, is comprised of Tony Rebis (vocals), Jason Sarkis (bass), Jack Flynn (guitar/vocals), Gary Foster (drums) and David Schuler (guitar/synth/vocals). In 2006, the Rochester-based pop/rock five-piece had an impressive run on the Vans Warped Tour, selling over 25,000 copies of their self-titled, self-produced debut album in two months. With a little hard work, the Sunstreak became the second band in history to post on the Billboard charts without a distribution deal – they hit No. 22 on Top Independent Albums chart and No. 30 on the overall Heatseakers chart. Now, the band is armed with their first major-label debut, 'Once Upon A Lie,' ready to show the world what else they can do. Their latest single, 'Until I Met You,' is just the beginning. 'Once Upon A Lie' hits shelves on October 16.

Seven Questions with Guitarist David Schuler:
How did the band first come together?
Tony and Jason formed One Year Nothing a few years ago, and Jack joined in 2005. Gary and I were in other bands in Rochester and eventually the stars aligned and we all ended up one big happy family!
What's your favorite song from your upcoming CD, 'Once Upon A Lie,' and why?
Probably 'Once Upon A Lie' -- it shows all the different sides of the band. Songs are a part of you, and each has its own meaning to us. Who have been the band's musical influences and who are you listening to now?
We listen to everything from Blink-182 to Rascal Flatts, anything actually. We love and respect all forms of music and try to be open to everything. Your street team of fans, the Streakers, have been very supportive of the band. What is the most memorable thing a fan has done for you?
Anytime a fan takes us into their home for a place to crash, or makes us dinner, or brings anything to shows that makes life on the road easier is always the best part of touring. Streakers are the best fans, PERIOD. You're known for touring a lot. What are some things you can't live without on the road?
Baby wipes, iPods and van sing-alongs. You never know when we're going to bust into a song in the middle of a drive!
Do you have any crazy stories from being on the road for Warped Tour this summer?
Well, we drove off from a gas station in our RV with the gas hose still in the pump and almost blew ourselves up. Gasoline filled the parking lot and it was very sketchy!
What advice would you give to bands who are hoping to get signed and make a living out of a music career?
Don't let anyone tell you that you're wasting your time. Take it from us, if you are struggling, you're probably doing something right. And never give up and always be thankful. Just to be given the chance to play music is a great thrill and honor.
