Brown Can't Remember Beating Rihanna

Chris Brown will make his first television appearance since his February assault on Rihanna this Wednesday, appearing on 'Larry King Live.' CNN has released a preview clip of the interview, in which Brown alludes going into detail on that violent night.

In the clip, King asks the R&B star if he remembered hitting Rihanna, which he has since been charged and sentenced for. Brown bluntly replies: "No."

When King presses Brown about how he felt watching all of the coverage of the incident, Brown didn't expound much more. "I just look at it like, 'Wow.' I'm in shock because first of all that's not who I am as a person. And that's not who I pride myself on being," Brown said.

He went on to say that "When I look at the police reports ... I don't know what to think."

Brown's mother was by his side for the interview, telling King that her son "has never ever been a violent person," and that she "was totally shocked" when she found out what happened.

Brown was sentenced on Aug. 25 for felony assault. He was given five years probation and six months of community labor.

In his first communication with the public about the attack this summer, Brown told his fans how sorry he is about the beating incident. "I am very sad and very ashamed of what I have done... I've told Rihanna countless times and I am telling you all today that I am truly, truly sorry that I wasn't able to handle the situation both differently and better. " he said.

Back in April, Brown pleaded not guilty to both assault and criminal threat charges in court.

Brown's manager, Tina Davis, was named by TMZ as the woman behind the text message that sparked his alleged beating of Rihanna. She has since denied the claims, saying: "The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports."

Court documents revealed that the police report claims Brown allegedly assaulted Rihanna in his car after she discovered a text message on his phone. According to the report, Brown smashed her head against the window, and then punched and bit her.

TMZ obtained a photo that appears to be singer Rihanna, taken shortly after Brown allegedly beat her following a pre-Grammy party. Police have said the woman had visible injuries, and that Brown was gone from the scene when they arrived.

Brown can be seen leaving the police station after being booked. According to police reports, he assaulted Rihanna in the car, and told her "I'm going to beat the s--- out of you when we get home." He also allegedly threatened to kill her after she told her assistant to call the police.

In their cover story, PEOPLE spoke with the father of Rihanna, who says he hopes his daughter is done with boyfriend Brown after his alleged assault. Shortly after, reports that Rihanna and Brown were back together in Miami emerged.

Brown, seen a day before the alleged attack, released a statement on Feb. 15, which read in part, "Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired."

Give it up Chris, First you beat her, then you apologize, then you want to get back with her, do a couple of shows, write a song and NOW YOU DON'T REMEMBER! We would have respected you more and continued to buy your songs if you would have just fessed up, apologized, turned yourself in, got counceling and stopped talking about it. IT IS WHAT IT IS!

yo real talk all of you need to let this thing go I believe Chris didnt mean to do what he did it happens to the best of us. Whatever Rihanna decided to do it was her own decision. I stand by Chris's mother because she knows him better than any other person in the world as all mothers do. So yall can keep on hatin and talkin trash but its time to move forward and let this thing go. I dont see him as being a violent person things just got heated for whatever reason. I agree. Since the judge gave him physical labor and 5 years away from her. How conveniently he forgets! In fact prior to THIS incident there were two prior ones involving violence and Rihanna which came out in court (previously unknown) most likely "he can't remember them either?" The guys a woman beater with anger issues and until he can RE-REMEMBER what he's done. No fixing him. The video apology for what he cant remember, the interviews for what he can't recall. All that was for an easy sentence and to get back in his Ex's/victims good graces

when you feel you've done nothing wrong--Its easy. Ask Chris Brown he'll tell ya and as far as his mother being there with him as one person commented "She knows him better then anyone.
