The day before Livvi Franc came by PopEater's New York office, an old pal of hers from Barbados also visited. But soulful singer Hal Linton wasn't quite as in-the-know as we were. "She's in New York? Really?" a surprised Linton said. "She didn't even tell me!"

"It's a real proud time for us," Linton said as he spoke with PopEater about the rising success of Barbadian musicians. "It's a real musical town. It's insane how many of us are here now."

Linton visited to preview songs from his debut album, 'Return From the Future,' which is set to be released in late 2009. The first single from Linton's forthcoming R&B/soul record is a song called 'She's Dangerous (Bang Bang),' and it's currently available on iTunes.
