'Top Model' Designer Gets Life in Prison
Celebrity fashion designer
Anand Jon will spend the rest of his life in prison for sexually assaulting several women and girls, some as young as 14, that he enticed with the promise of modeling jobs.
Jon, 35, who acted as his own lawyer, stared blankly as Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Wesley sentenced him to 59 years to life on Monday. In November, he was convicted of 16 counts, including rape, sexual battery and performing lewd acts on a child.
At the end of the months-long trial, Jon asked for a new trial because of alleged juror and prosecutorial conduct.
The designer, who had dressed the likes of Paris Hilton and Janet Jackson, was arrested in 2007, and prosecutors said the crimes started as far back as 2001, when he used to lure aspiring models to Los Angeles.
Jon, whose full name is Anand Jon Alexander, denied the charges and has contended that the young women were merely seeking revenge on.
Reality show viewers may remember the Indian-born designer for his work on
'America's Next Top Model' in 2003.

I hope raping women was worth it to him now he has to spend his life in prison. Looks to me that he had a promising career. He must have wanted to go to jail by representing himself like that especially with a serious crime like this. Now he can put some designs on his and other inmates jail suits lol.

You do not know if he did this or not, did any of these girls take a DNA test, no, and a lot of girls will lie and most do if they see where they might get their way for something they want, the laws on cases like this are to grey, first off should have a DNA test required to begin with and secondly all of them should be questioned by a pysch. and take a lie detector test and third if found to be lying they should get time in prison for lying to the courts. Next off, this is a type of crime that is not correctly defined by law at all, a lot of women got married when they were 14 in the past and some do today, by this time a female is fully developed in some cases both mentally and physically. In our society we keep calling them children which they are but one has to recognize that females mature faster than males also. This law is to grey and needs to be looked at and rewritten to include other aspects and even include the fact that a female committing the same act on a male should recieve the same amount of time, the law under true justice does not differ according to sex.

I guess the quote Those who represents themselves is a fool at law. He deserves what he is getting. Amazing how these perpertrators think that the victim wanted to be forced into sex by enticing modeling jobs. He will be labeled a sex offender for life. He now now have all the sex he wants in jail because he will be raped there for sure.

It sadness me for all those girls & woman, but I’m so happy they got justice! So many people get off & girls/woman not only have to live with what happened to them, but also have to live with the fact that nothing happened to the person, & feels rapped all over again! Thank God they found him guilty, I’m glad they got justice!
