Holly Madison: 'Hef Brought Down My Self-Esteem'

The 'Girls Next Door' always seemed like the picture of confidence, but former Playboy Playmate Holly Madison reveals that life with Hugh Hefner wasn't great for her self-esteem. In an interview with Life & Style given exclusively to PopEater, Madison shares details about her insecurities and the reasons she chose plastic surgery to accomplish her goals. On her pre-plastic surgery body: "I always stuffed my bra. In fact, I had a boyfriend for years, and we moved so slowly. We didn't have sex for a long time because I had to gradually bring down my bra size so he wouldn't find out I stuffed my bra!"

On her issues with confidence: "Living with Hef brought down my self-esteem a lot. I was comparing myself to the other girls... You have to look a certain way at the mansion. If you look at Hef's girlfriend now, she basically looks like a clone of me. It's kind of weird."

"My nose photographed really big in front of my face. If I wanted to do anything in the entertainment industry, I needed to get it fixed. I was definitely happy with the results," Madison tells Life & Style.

On going under the knife: "When I was younger, I was the first person in my class to start getting boobs, so I thought I was going to be huge. But I stopped growing before everybody else started. That was a big letdown... I compared myself to those [Playboy playmates]. I knew what I wanted to look like and was kind of disappointed. I had a butt and no boobs."

"Plastic surgery made it easier for me to get things I wanted in my career. Without it, I wouldn't be where I am today... My nose photographed really big in front of my face. If I wanted to do anything in the entertainment industry, I needed to get it fixed. I was definitely happy with the results. It made me more confident. And a lot of doors open when you look a certain way."

On future enhancements: "I wouldn't consider more surgery - unless my body implodes after I have kids! And I'm scared of getting stuff [like Botox] put into my face. It makes you look like you have a rubber mask on. Beauty is truly on the inside. Looks don't define you - they're just a tool to get what you want."

She made alot of sense and was at least being honest alot of those girls get work done and then lie about it, saying their boobs or anything is real at least she has the guts to come out and say I didn't feel good about myself so I had work done to correct things and then at the end of the day she says beauty is on the inside not the outside at least she realizes that now.

She(Holly) should of known better than to be part of Mr. Hefner's Harem of Girls. Mr. Hefner loves them all, but can't commit to just one. THAT'S WHAT A PLAYBOY IS, HOLLY!!!! Ms. Madison, you have no one to blame but yourself. Apparently, Ms. Madison, you must have ignored Mr. Hefner's track record of girlfriends he's had, and the path of teardrops on the floor of his other former wives. I think, in general, when a single guy(not married)who has a girlfriend, is around a bunch of hot looking single women, more than likely he'll stray from his commitment to that one particular one.

Sorry Keith Hef hosted Kendra's wedding not Holly. While I do agree that at this point any young woman who wants Hef sees dollar signs, I do think that in this day and age money is important. If they can handle hanging with him in a group...that is there issue. I think Holly fell in love and that is her downfall.

I think Holly is fine. Just because she makes a remark about how she feels- doesnt make her a bad person.Everyone has the right to say what they want when they want- HOWEVER, you people who get on here and write comments about others when you have no clue in hell what is really going on. Holly was a playboy bunny yes- it was her descion. However what you see on TV, read in magazines, and hear from others is just what they want you to see, hear & read. You never hear or know of the real truth or what really goes on in these celebrites lives- it is all TV. JUST THAT! If they wanted everyone to know what goes on in thier personal lives; they would invite everyone to their home to see it.
