Famous Friends Gather for DJ AM Funeral

Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, was laid to rest on Wednesday in an intimate funeral service attended by family and the close friends he made in the music community.

The traditional service was held at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles. Those on hand to mourn the celebrity disc jockey, who died last Friday, were his former collaborator Travis Barker and Hayley Wood, the woman he was said to have been heartbroken over.

His famous ex-girlfriend Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden were also reportedly there.

A memorial event for Goldstein will take place Thursday evening at the Hollywood Palladium.

"The format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting," reads an invite for the event, which will be "a gathering to celebrate the life of our friend Adam Goldstein."

Whats wrong with what they wore? These are his friends. this is how they all dressed together. Some people would rather have thier friends come as who they are and not just be what society says they do. If a friend of mine came to my funeral in a suit and I knew thats not him and he would be uncomfortable and pretending to be what he is not that would be terrible. Funerals should not be a forced thing come as you and say good by to me as I am.Its annoying when people think you have to be fake to show true respect.

I think it's unfortunate that your shallow mind can't wrap itself around the fact that no matter how long someone has been sober/clean there's always a temptation to do drugs. It's a shame that even after being sober for 10 years a person can still fall prey to their past. Heaven forbid you find yourself in a similar situation and all that can be said about you are the horrific things you've said about Adam Goldstein. I hope you're never found in that situation and that your ugly words are never thrown back in your dead face.

HERE: SURVIVOR's GUILT.Back in September of 2008, DJ AM and Travis Barker survived a plane crash in South Carolina. Four people died in the crash -- which was caused when the airplane aborted takeoff and then ran off the runway. DJ AM and Barker were the only survivors.

Even if this guy lived on the edge, what about the people who attended his funeral. One lady looks like she is popping open a beer over his casket. Travis Braker probaly partied more with him than anyone else and at least he showed some respect by the way he dressed!!!!
