Jack Kevorkian, famously dubbed "Doctor Death" for assisting in the suicides of more than 100 terminally ill people, has shared words of support for Michael Jackson's doctor. Conrad Murray is now the sole focus of the investigation into Jackson's death, but Dr. Kevorkian disagrees with the conclusion that a homicide was the cause.
"I don't think he was malicious," Kevorkian, 81, told FOXNews. "Murder is defined as miles of forethought... Did the doctor have forethought? I doubt it."
Lethal doses of the powerful anesthetic propofol caused the death of Michael Jackson, according to the Los Angeles coroner's report. Murray said the King of Pop was suffering from insomnia, and that he had been giving Jackson 50 milligrams of propofol nightly.
"Maybe Jackson craved these things so much he pestered the doctor until he got it," Kevorkian said. "The patient got what he wanted. He is the one who said yes or no to take a drug."
In 1999, Kevorkian was charged with first-degree homicide and the delivery of a controlled substance for assisting in the the euthanasia of a patient in the final stages of a terminal illness. He was paroled in 2007, but has abstained from involvement in assisted suicide. The doctor has spent his time since parole lecturing and attempting to persuade states to decriminalize voluntary euthanasia.
Dr. Conrad Murray, who was Michael Jackson's cardiologist, has been a primary person of interest in Jackson's death investigation. Murray has admitted to law enforcement that he administered the drug propofol to the singer. The powerful anesthetic is what killed Jackson, along with other drugs contributing to his death.

Another one of Jackson's doctors, dermatologist Arnold Klein, has also faced speculation that he may have provided the music legend with illegal prescription drugs. He has denied any involvement in Jackson's death.

Jackson's nutritionist Cherilyn Lee has told interviewers that Jackson begged her for drugs. "He didn't take any medications from me, I'm just nutritional. When it switched over to medication, especially that particular medication, I told him -- I only deal with nutrition," she says. Records from her office have been taken to aid in the investigation into his death.
Genny you ignorant child of GOD. Good Lord girl to wish cancer on someone. WHO RAISED YOU? I mean really! Michael Jackson wanted the attention that the Martin Bashir interview gave him. I know people who have worked on shows with Michael. He was working to pay off debt that he had accrued so ANY publicity was what Michael wanted. Let this man rest in peace. As for you Missy, go back to school and learn how to write and start attending my church girl where there is an all loving God not a hateful, spiteful, punishing God like the false one you are serving. You are just sad and tragic!
I don't know if I believe DR. Death Jack Kevorkian that Michael Jackson got what he wanted. I believe if the people that are ill that want to pass away let them I'm for assisted Suicide if that is what someone that is ill and doesn't want the pain anymore. And it isn't euthanasia A.
Yes, Michael Jackson was a drug addict. And, yes, he pestered Doctors for drugs. But this Dr. Murray chose to provide Michael the powerful drug that killed him. He sold his services for $150,000.00 a month. He's a criminal, money-grubbing drug dealer and he is guilty of causing Michael's death. He deserves whatever punishment the Court mandates.
I believe the Dr is responsible too but there are other Drs out there who are as well and they need to be brought to justice just like this one! Whether it was Dr Murray or any other Dr, this would have happened anyways because MJ would have found someone to give him what he wanted. That I have no doubt about. Drs are suppose to first.. "Do no harm to their patients" but that's exactly what Murray did by giving him these drugs and as a person who takes RX's, 2 that MJ took, it is ALSO "MY RESPONSIBILITY" to NOT over take my meds. It's ALSO my responsibility to not DRUG HOP!! I'm very honest with my pain Dr. If he prescribes me a new RX and it doesn't work, I ask him what I'm suppose to do with them, how to dispose of them safely and if I see another Dr on different matter, I make sure to be up front and honest with BOTH of them. These are things MJ didn't do because he was hooked on those drugs. Why MJ thought he could be on all of these drugs and not think at some point that they can kill him, I don't know, don't understand!! It's not because he was a drug addict because I know many who are addicts and they have told me many times of the fear they live with because they're afraid that one day, they won't wake up!! Peace
Don't go to Dr. Kevorkian for legal advice. "Homicide" merely means caused by human action, regardless of whether there was intent. Intent makes it murder. Irresponsibility resulting in death makes it manslaughter. Negligence makes it negligent homicide. Accidental death is just that, and not criminally culpable.
The coroner's finding of "homicide" is correct, because MJ's death was truly human caused. We'll leave it to the attorney's and the jury as to whether intent or negligence was present and to what degree Dr. Murray is culpable.
Kevorkian said, "The patient got what he wanted. He is the one who said yes or no to take a drug." Although Michael, as the patient, was the person asking for sleep medication, it was the official responsibility of his doctor to "SAFELY" administer what the doctor felt was appropriate based upon his medical knowledge. Kevorkian is a NUT job and should SHUT-UP.
I agree with Kevorkian but I also agree that the doctor should have said no to the propofol. He was obviously getting well paid and wasn't about to jeopardize his position. If you need enough sedatives to tranquilize an elephant, though, there is obviously something wrong that should be treated in a hospital environment. This all sounds similar to Anna-Nicole Smith.
Blaming the doctor for murder is like someone blaming the liquer store for being an alcoholic. What the doctor did was wrong, and hee should be punished for malpractice or something, but not murder!!! When are we as americans going to start taking responsibility for our own actions instead of blaming someone else???
Dr Jack is absolutely right. "Celebrities" are so used to getting what they want, id he couldn't get one Dr to give it to him, he'd find another who would. He had Drs all over the world to give him bogus prescriptions any time he wanted. Face it, he was a junkie, and this whole thing is nothing more than an assisted suicide
Chris, your wrong celebretries don't get what they want. Pazzerazzis and directors constantly put them under stress.
La Toya Jackson, said that staff members were putting Michael under extreme stress, because they would make more money if he died. Though she could be wrong about their motives.
Michael was constantly put under stress since he was five. This should be illegal. I want to go so far to suggest that movie stars should also have mandated vacations. People are not allowed to work under certain dangerous conditions.
Unfortunately if mandating rest, many paparazzi could still get in the way.
I personally prefer the conspiracy La Toya Jackson, said that staff members were putting Michael under extreme stress, because they would make more money if he died. Though she could be wrong about their motives.

Working conditions for stars are very dangerous, especially emotionally dangerous. I also think conspiracies are involved when it comes to Michael Jackson and Jimmi Hendrix.
I think that assisting in a suicide, or what one migh think helping is because he couldn't sleep the result was the same. He died because of what the dr administered to him. Anyone would agree because the result was the same and people might not like michael jackson and others might idolize him, but the fact of the matter is that three children have no father because of this. If he can look those children in the eyes and say it is not his fault than he is just one cruel human being!
Dr. Kevorkian was off the wall saying that Jackson pestered his doctor for the drugs so therefore the doctor should have given in. Perhaps Jackson's doctor got a special money bonus for the drugs and that was the real deal. No good and ethical doctor gives drugs to an addict with good conscience. The doctor should have had his family intervene or as they say to addicts, just said NO to Jackson, and he could have had other doctors intervene to get him proper help. I know privacy issues are at hand, but I am sure getting other doctors to intervene may fall under legal jurisdiction. The doctor was at fault and Kevorkian is an idiot. My son is on methadone and I can't tell you how many doctors will prescribe him valium or xanax without knowing he is on methadone. He has almost died twice because of this. I think anyone on a state prescribed drug should be on a generalized physician computer so they know what they can and cannot prescribe. This whole situation shows us that we need to get better programs for drug addicts. They are the new lepers of society today who are almost completely ignored. I suggest that the jails which inhabit 90 percent of people who are drug abusers, manifest a drug program for the jail population, aplitting them into categories of ugency. When they come out, they will have a better chance of not returning to jail. It's logical and less costly than what is going on now.

Sue Bashir for what? Turning the cameras on and letting it roll?
Jackson's own words and actions became the source of some of his problems, not Bashir's capturing them on tape.
For you to wish cancer on anyone simply shows what kind of human you are and says nothing about Bashir.

Hey, PopEater--get it right! Dr. Kevorkian did not say 'miles of forethought.' What he said was, 'malice aforethought.' Your ignorance is showing.
