Chris Brown's Smackdown With Oprah

"Whatever goodwill he had, he's totally ruined it by saying that. What was he thinking? And who the hell goes up against Oprah? It just shows he doesn't think. No one is going to want him as the face of their brand," the source added.
Brown argues that he, "did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, 'OK, I'm going to help both of these people out,'" he added.
For now, Oprah's only comment comes from her rep."Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs."
According to Brown, that's exactly his plan. "I want to understand my feelings," Brown tells PEOPLE. "I want to find out what really transpired as far as me that night. Sometimes when you're young you don't know how to express [your emotions], so I think it actually would be helpful to talk to a counselor or to somebody who has an expertise in what those [feelings] are."
The singer adds, "I wanted to take the counseling upon myself and ... just talk to someone. I just need to talk to someone. I wanted to understand the problem at hand."
Brown still doesn't believe he has a problem controlling his anger, but he accepts he might be proven wrong in therapy. "If I do, I will work with my counselor and hopefully channel my anger into something like dancing," he says. "I don't think I would get that mad again. I want to be a man, so I have to be more responsible .... I'd rather walk away."
The Brown-Rihanna Case
Chris Brown has been sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labor for his felony assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna in February.

In his first communication with the public about the attack this summer, Brown told his fans how sorry he is about the beating incident. "I am very sad and very ashamed of what I have done... I've told Rihanna countless times and I am telling you all today that I am truly, truly sorry that I wasn't able to handle the situation both differently and better. " he said.

Back in April, Brown pleaded not guilty to both assault and criminal threat charges in court.

Brown's manager, Tina Davis, was named by TMZ as the woman behind the text message that sparked his alleged beating of Rihanna. She has since denied the claims, saying: "The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports."

Court documents revealed that the police report claims Brown allegedly assaulted Rihanna in his car after she discovered a text message on his phone. According to the report, Brown smashed her head against the window, and then punched and bit her.

TMZ obtained a photo that appears to be singer Rihanna, taken shortly after Brown allegedly beat her following a pre-Grammy party. Police have said the woman had visible injuries, and that Brown was gone from the scene when they arrived.

Brown can be seen leaving the police station after being booked. According to police reports, he assaulted Rihanna in the car, and told her "I'm going to beat the s--- out of you when we get home." He also allegedly threatened to kill her after she told her assistant to call the police.

In their cover story, PEOPLE spoke with the father of Rihanna, who says he hopes his daughter is done with boyfriend Brown after his alleged assault. Shortly after, reports that Rihanna and Brown were back together in Miami emerged.
PEOPLE
Brown, seen a day before the alleged attack, released a statement on Feb. 15, which read in part, "Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired."

No real woman hits a man and doesn't expect what is coming to her. If she can't control herself she should be the one to walk away before she resorts to violence. Women, just admit when you're wrong and stop trying to always blame men. If we are supposed to be equal that means taking some responsability for you're actions. Both the good and the bad.
Why is this much attention being paid to this woman beating piece of crap? Is this all we have to do with our time?

It's true Oprah is a liar and phony. She is a self professed crack head and bum magnet who often supported men who beat her. At 14 she had a baby. This phony has snowed AmeriKKKa and you chumps have bought into her fake "I love white people dogma."
Chances are she still indulges in the crack pipe and meth when her weight begins to creep back up.

I believe that I understand what Chris Brown was trying to say but because of immaturity and lack of eloquence it did not come across well.Domestic violence is a serious issue in our country today and yet no matter how much we bring awareness to it, it still persists. We tend to look at the victim and provide them with much support but often forget about the abusers and demonize them. What I have notice about abusers is that they always attract women to them even though they are not emotionally healthy. In order for the cycle to be not just broken but destroyed, we must work at helping the abuser not to abuse because the cycle is carried on when children witness this and accept it as normal. If you were not aware, Chris Brown experienced his mother being abused when he was a child.

Everyone needs to be more open-minded. Chirs Brown MAY have been wrong for hitting Rhianna, but WHO really knows the TRUE logistics of that PARTICULAR situation??? All these females who state "no man should ever hit a woman....period". Please. Although I don't condone the act either, I at LEAST have the capacity to understand waht MAY have happened. Rhianna's blank/emotionless facial expressions in almost EVERY picture she takes, illustrates her lack of humanity. She's too self-absorbed. I believe Chris Brown had finally reached a "black-out" level with this obviously unhinged female, and reacted accordingly. Not agreeing with it. Merely UNDERSTANDING it. Women tend to push the envelope, but can't always handle the delivery (personal quote.). Both sides should be scrutinized with the same level of importance.

Not a big fan of Oprah but on this one I am on her side. Chris Brown still doesn't get it. He beat his girl and he still loves her! This man needs help and I hope his career goes in the toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The smartest thing I ever learned from my father was not to hit girls. It kept me from ruining my life when I was married to a complete button pusher.

I think people should understand he was 19 and she was hitting him and he flipped out and hit him back.... I dont know what planet your from but if you start hitting on a man and he hits you back, Is that abuse?

YES juanita that is abuse!! i think YOU are the one living on another planet and it sounds like a totally sucky one!! even if she is hitting him he is a guy, i don't care if he is 19 or not, God where did you grow up?? my 8 year old son has known for years you don't hit girls no matter what!!! he should have just walked away from her. obviously she's not petite but there is no way he could not have escaped her!! he's a total loser and he obviously thinks hitting girls is normal! you are either dumb or you just have low self esteem because it's not okay for (anyone!!) boys to hit girls, AT ANY AGE!!!! it's not normal, so if that happens to you, then you need leave the loser!!
I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT CHRIS BROWN ONLY BEING 19. HE IS YOUNG AND HAVE A LOT OF MATURING TO DO, HOPEFULLY HE DID LEARN HIS LESSON FROM THIS AND WILL GROW TO BECOME A MAN THAT CAN CONTROL HIMSELF OR SHALL I SAY HIS HANDS. BUT I DO NOT AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT HER HITTING HIM AND HE HIT BACK, BECAUSE HE SHOULD HAVE JUST REMOVED HIMSELF FROM THE SITUATION. HE IS 19 NOT 5.
AT THE SAME TIME I KNOW NOT TO KEEP ATTACKING A GROWN MAN IF HE BLACKS OUT AND BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF ME I CANT BLAME HIM... I dont know what planet you are from but in the real world if you keep attacking anybody it only nature that he will go back and he hit her and bruised her up yes but she knew he was much bigger and when he finally did get her back it was gonna hurt. I know all about abuse and what its like to be beat for NO REASON I would never go after a man continually and expect for him to not get me back eventually I know in your fantasy world a man dosent hit a lady back but in a real worls we are always chastising someone for there actions when a lot of times its a consequense or a REACTION! I HOPE WOMEN WILL RAISE THEIR DAUGHTERS TO KNOW DONT CONTINUALLY BEAT ON A MAN AND EXPECT HIM TO ALWAYS TAKE IT... MAJORITY OF MEN WILL HIT BACK (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS ON BOTH ENDS MALE AND FEMALE)
i feel sorry for you juanita. i really do. why is it you think it is okay for anyone to hit? why would you be hitting him to begin with? you said how you know enough to when to stop hitting him before he will hit you back and hurt you. that is really sad, why would you even start hitting him. and if you were abused, you sound like you may have done some abusing yourself. he should have JUST WALKED AWAY! it is amazing how people are justifying it! maybe he should have walked off and called the cops on her!! then at least he'd be a man and not the p*ssy that he is. apparently he is not man enough to beat up guys he has to beat up girls to make himself feel better. and you people are totally high to think that that was the first time it happened. no guy is worth letting him hit you!!
Fantasies or Reality I know what I been through and If anybody gets bea children women or men continually, I understand them to fight back court records show she hit him continually in the past before this situation. Love is powerful and he is 19 not 30 and this was his 1st real relationship prob since he has been in the spotlight since 15. He is still a baby and nobody even wants to hear his side of the story. The world is ignorant to reality and lives in a fantasy if they think that no man is gonna hit a girl back after she continually puts her hands on him. I have been in fight with females where if u get me pissed enough all hell will break loose and the beast comes out (happens to alot of people when they fight have u ever been in one) but to expect a 19 year old who has never really been in a real relationship to know to have walked away is CRAZY! The world expects you to be perfect and NOT HUMAN!
Oprah hates BM anyway! In spite of her great success she can't get one, expect Stedman who's only using her to hide her being a lesbian. She's just like the typical BW that can't either get a decent man, nor hold onto one when she does! Perhaps Oprah needs to get back on cocaine like she did when she worked in Baltimore, her nose was all full of it, and today now its her brain.
