Weaveless Tyra Banks Goes Au Natural

Tyra Banks took off the weaves, braids, extensions and wigs that have come to be associated with her beautiful cranium and showed off her real hair during the season premiere of her self-titled talk show on Tuesday.

"It's just me coming straight out of the shower with wet hair, " said Banks, who is on a crusade of late to help women with self-esteem and body image issues. Watch the clip (via ETOnline.com):

That wasn't wet hair, that hair was oiled down with soft sheen, sheesh her hair looked like that the whole time of the program....How long does it take for hair to begin to dry??? Wet my azz!!! Body image huh? Well, she has some of her own demons to work on first before she can come out on stage and tell us women what we should and shouldn't do!!!!!!!!!

Congrats. You hit the nail on the head. There was nothing natural about her hair. That hair was relaxed and waxed. Do as you wish but do not pretend to inspire other woment to be natural when you still can not.

Guess you did not see the episode. She says she has a relaxer. And her hair was wet, seen it dripping down her back. During the episode her hair dresser dried her hair, and curled it. Don't hate, no reason for it. She looks good anyway.

Tyra shmyra. If she was really that "confident", she'd wear her hair like that everyday. If her "image" is so "powerful", she should be able to inspire her audience just the same. I applaud Tyra in her efforts to "show the man (woman) behind the curtain", BUT feel that the industry that she is a part of and the show "America's Next Top Model" are the very things in life that perpetuate the issue of WHY women feel the need to change themselves. Don't get me wrong, be your fabulous self Tyra, and rock on with your bad self because you do it well. But pick a side already.
