It is interesting to note that while he was down his only companion was a dog. Now that he is on top again the young girls are hanging on his every word. Sorry, but it is disgusting. He should act his age and realize why these girls are interested in him. It is not him, it is the fame and money.

I agree - he needs to back off. He has gracefully made his comeback and doesn't need to jeopardize it with acting trashy - He could dress a little better too! He used to be so handsome and dressed nice. He could do it again if he tried.

the only thing that seperates nicholison androurkes talent and success is that rourke picked the wrong roads.

Disappointing, but,ok. So long as he can handle the rejection when it happens and doesn't go off the deep end once again.................

Why can't people just do what makes them happy and NOT have to listen what people on AOL have to say? If he's happy and she's happy, isnt that ALL that matters?? Does he need an AOL poll? Since when does anyone need the approval of people sitting alone, lonely at a computer casting there judgements. Get a LIFE people. IF YOU CAN

I agree completely. His life, his choice. Age shmage. What he does (or doesn't) do is not our business. This has no real impact on anyone, and I REALLY doubt he cares what we all think about his personal choices. Do all you posters care what others think about your decisions? I rest my case.

I'm 22 years older than my wife. Been together for 12 years so far and it's the best relationship either of us ever had. We're actually still on our honeymoon after all this time. Best of all, neither one of us give a flying fig about what anyone else thinks!

Thank you! My boyfriend is 47, and I'm 23, I've known him for over three years, and we don't give a flying shi* what other people think of us either. Age is NOTHING BUT A NUMBER!! As long as you are on the same level emotionally and mentally, things work just as good for people who are the same age. Primary reason I DO NOT date guys my age are because they are ALL IDIOTS who think with their dic* instead of their brain!

I was married to a man 19 years older... was no big deal when I was 25, but as he approached 60, things changed, he changed.....
Your wife will leave you within the next 5-10 years... then who will change your diapers..
It is the most manipulative type of relationship. I have realized that an older man only goes with a younger woman because they think they can control her and cannot handle a woman of their own age. They are pathetic... AND the same goes for these older women with younger men.... ALL desperate and sad..
But that's okay, when she leaves you, maybe you can find another baby to change your diapers... lol....

Well Yasmina, my wife and I joke about the diaper changing all the time. She always says I better be good to her or else. LOL As for women my own age? I got tired of game playing, acting "like they're supposed to act" and all the BS that goes with it. My ex (my age) was a shrink and worked for the state Attorney General. Made tons of bucks (more than any other woman I had ever known, and I know a lot! But she was a psychotic freak (like her mother) who made up lots of things in her head, and created lots of problems for absolutely no reason except to start drama. Then there was her mother, who constantly reminded me that I was nothing like my ex's first husband (who beat her on a daily basis and forced her to "perform" at swingers parties). Her mom decided I wasn't successful enough (I have a "wall full" of degrees and am a senior aerospace engineer and make more money than anyone in their family). But for some reason I just don't seem to like women in my age group?!? My ex wasn't the only one I had these experiences with either in case you're thinking, "Well, just one woman isn't enough to go by!" I was "almost" a rock star in my youth and still play whenever the old band pulls me out of mothballs. I meet more women in the average night than most guys do in a lifetime.

Your comments confirm my statement.....
So sad today that people are more concerned with how they look... i.e. "Rock Star"... then who they are....It seems that you have a young wife, because you want arm candy... unless she is unattractive... but given that you are a ROCK STAR.... can't imagine that..... But, I don't know her, so I could be wrong... maybe she's not attractive at all....
Nope.... I'll stand by my statement.... poopie diapers pass better when they are one babies, or someone's own age...
And if you don't get alone with women your own age... probably because they are looking for a partner not someone who would control them..... A woman your own age might force you to look within... to see that you are without.... Can't tell her how to dress either.... LOL! ..... A woman your own age with tell you the truth, what you need to hear because she loves your soul, a younger will tell you what your ego needs to hear because it is momentarily easier..And Newsflash...many of your age appropriate females actually don't want a man around full time.... personally, I couldn't care less.
When a woman is young, professional or not, she still often looks to the man to define the relationship.. She comes into her full power as she grows. I, too, am a professional woman with 3 higher education degrees, (2 graduate degrees in there). The majority of the relationships where the age difference is so great end, and it ends up costing someone (usually the man), ALOT of money... THEN they end up hating women..... at which point their friends tell them "I told you so"
But seriously... wish you well... Just been there done that... and now that I have 20 something guys asking me out.... I kinda wondered WHY would someone so much older go with someone so much younger....,, CONTROL...
There cute to look at, like a nephew, but why go there?.... So not interesting...
It is not about the QUANTITY of conquests....(to me at least), but about the QUALITY of the human being.... so you go ahead and keep racking up all the young hotties if it makes you feel so Rock Starry..... Some of us will be filling up our souls....
Peace brother.... and honestly hope she is there with the baby wipes... LOL

p.s. Sorry about your first wife... sounds like a real quak and control freak... but you shouldn't think all women your age are like that!..... they are not....
Honestly hope it works for you, we all have the right to be happy... and if it doesn't, hope that she doesn't take everything you own.... because that would make you hate women even more than your first wife....

Well, speaking on the other end, as a younger guy, personally I find young women boring, petty, fickle, and play more games than the Parker Bros. I like a good conversation, experience, and quite frankly someone that's actually comfortable with themselves. Yes, you can find that with younger women as people have told me about myself for some reason, but I'm sure I won't find someone my age that I can tolerate until I/we're older.
Just a thought.

I totally agree with you, that your wife is 22 years old, maybe I read it incorrect, but my husband is 18 years older then me and we've been together for 20 years and I'm still in love with him as the day I was when we first met, so there's nothing wrong with age, age is just a number, more power to older men with younger wifes like us.

Man, you must have really had a nasty experience? Did your man turn out to be a real putz or something? Do you feel like you wasted time that you could have spent somewhere else? I find it amusing that you talk to me like I'm some kind of inexperienced 16-year-old with no clue what I'm doing. To clear up a few of your questions, the ex was my second wife, 16 years. I was married to my childhood sweetheart for 6 years long before her. The story of the first wife is the usual one that we both grew up and wanted different things out of life. Also, I'm unlike any man you've had the displeasure of knowing. I never dictate anything, my wife does whatever she wants, she's a big girl. As for older women feeding the soul, mine was an insecure freak afraid of losing me, so she did everything to keep me down. I had FAR too much experience for that, which is why she went away. As for the ego, I have enough to populate Cleveland. I was a hard rock guitarist for God's sake, they had to scrape the ego off me when they pulled me out of the womb. LOL The young wife actually keeps me grounded, she's quick to point out when I'm being a jerk. The main thing that I find most amusing though is the way you speak as though I kidnapped her from high school a week ago. As I said, we've been together 12 years, this isn't a new relationship. Second, how do you know I'm not 75 and she's 53? I just said we're 22 years apart. Ah, I love human nature, quick to destroy! And as for the Rockstar thing, you'll notice I put that in quotes? It's because I consider it a joke. I was being groomed a few decades ago as the next big thing, but I found Hollywood far too plastic and phony for me and couldn't stand the lifestyle. So I walked away from it and hence the aerospace living now.

He wants to be seen with some young pretty girl on his arm and she wants to be seen period! She wants fame and the only way to get it is to date someone who's already famous. I'm sure it's a fling for publicity on both parts and when she's on her way to becoming known she'll dump him for some young hot guy.

mickey was an extra sharp looking, sexy guy when he was younger and was set to age gracefully and stereotypically handsomely. instead, he followed his heart and took up boxing which did physical damage to his looks. bravo to anyone who follows their dream regardless of the superficial consequences. if he was more vain, he wouldn't let anyone touch his pretty head. if he's following his heart NOW with someone he truly cares about, then kudos to him, whether it works out in the long run or not. we should all be so brave and lucky. - bobby cormier
