Rebecca Romijn: Two Is Enough
Rebecca Romijn and
Jerry O'Connell are one Hollywood couple who don't plan on contributing any more to the current baby boom. Romijn, who welcomed twin girls Dolly and Charlie in December 2008, told
E! ONLINE of their intentions to stop at two.
"I'm pretty sure that this is it," she said. "We feel like the world was made for pairs. Four feels like the perfect number."
"Also, we're not interested in overpopulating this world," she continued. "So we feel like we don't want to leave more than we are when we leave this planet."
Romijn is currently working on the new ABC series 'Eastwick', based on the John Updike novel 'Witches of Eastwick'.
Although O'Connell often brings the twins to visit mom on set, Romijn admits she still feels "mother's guilt" while working. "I feel like any stretch of time I spend away from them, I'm worried that I'm missing out on just these little miracles," she said. "Like you watch them stare at their hand for an hour and they go take a three-hour nap and they wake up and they can do something that they didn't do before-like wave!"

And why is this selfish that they only have two children? This is a choice they are making for themselves and no one else.

If you don't want more then two children then fine, there is no need to go into anymore detail. I can't believe your wish for your children is that they don't have any children because if they do then you will "leave more then you are" behind. I used to like you two but now I think you are very fake and arrogant to think your only having two children will make this planet any better or worse off.

She didn't say anything about her future grandchildren (that would be assanine, anyway, if she had, considering her children aren't even a year old yet), just that she's good with two. :::shrug:::

Jeez, Carol...where did that come from??? I mean not only the grandchildren bit, but all that angst??
Anyway, they're a cute couple and were probably asked by the interviewer if they planned to have more children. So they answered honestly. Big deal. I'm glad they're happy. Everyone deserves to be happy (even you, Carol...you should try it some time instead of getting all worked up over people you don't even know.)

I don't think they're being arrogant Carol, I think they're just stating the fact that they don't want to be like that insane Duggar woman and bring 18 mouths to feed into this world when there are so many children waiting to be ADOPTED since they have no one. Having your own children is fine but there is a point when enough is damm enough.

she's having number 19 people should be able to have however many children they want as long as they support them themselves not like some people who have 5+ children and then want us taxpayers to pay for them so they can sit at home on their lazy asses

Ree, do you have your own biological children or did you go save the world and adopt children? I'm just curious if you are practicing what you preach. The duggars may hahve alot of kids but they are all loved and well cared for. These children are well behaved and take good care of each other and have much love and goodness in them and pass that on to strangers. These people are good people who beleive in God first and do things to help make the world a better place. The are not in debt. Everything they own is paid for. They do not ask anyone for money to pay the bills, they ask no one to pay for their childcare, no one to pay their medical bills, they pay all their own, they don't even ask for food sstamps to feed so many kids, they do iot all on their own. They are a hard working family and just rfecently went to Tennessee to build a huge addition onto another familys house. They are very giving. Can you say anything that wonderful about yourself? I'm curious.

Robin, Read every thing she wrote.. she wrote that "having your own kids is fine" but there is a point when enough is enough.. no where did she say that every one should adopt and never have their own kids.

I don't see anything wrong with the article. Basically saying two is enough. They are honest. Like Brad and Angelina having six children and looking to adopt or if she is or will be pregnant again. Basically a matter of opinion. I myself have no children but always wanted two children.

Two is more than enough. Soon, most everyone will be having no kids. We'll leave reproduction up to the pros, like Rebecca Romijn.

Congratulations to Rebecca & Jerry for being so open and honest. Not everyone has to {repopulate} the world like the Duggar family,18 kids and pregnant with another one, plus a grandchild due in October. What about "Octa-mom" with the state and everyone else in the country paying taxes to support those children....God bless Rebecca & Jerry on their 2 beautiful girls!!!! NOW,leave them alone!!!!!!!

I don't think she was telling us to leave them alone. I think that was probably directly solely on the media and PopEater. I think she just probably doesn't want the media to obsess on Rebecca Romijn like all the Michael Jackson news that's plagued the airwaves.

Robin you need to get laid. Instead of being all angry at people who are making responsible reproduction choices maybe you should focus on your own life and where all your anger comes from. Seriously, if they only want 2 kids that is there choice. Lighten up!

Angela dear, You need to read better. There is more than 1 person named Robin commenting here. I just commented on the person telling us to leave them alone, llike we were all after them having a bashfest. I never said a word about them reproducing because I could care less how many children they have. I only worry about how many I have because I have to support mine. So about me getting laid, already did, it's my birthday today.

They should all keep their reproductive cycles, patterns, etc to themselves. DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AND KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.
