Cruz, who many have claimed was pregnant with boyfriend (and fellow Oscar-winner) Javier Bardem's baby, responded directly to the hoopla in Toronto while promoting her new movie 'Broken Embraces.' What she said after the jump!

USA Today reports that Cruz says even her own friends started buying her gifts "saying, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant.' And I say, 'No, I'm not, so return the presents."

She went on to call the rumor mill "amazing."
