'Early show' host Harry Smith has taken a sick day from work, telling viewers he thinks he has swine flu. In an interview live from his New York City apartment Monday, Smith told CBS viewers he started feeling achy and feverish over the weekend after a 25-mile bike ride in the rain and dancing all night at a birthday party.'Early Show' medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton says Smith could be right because his symptoms are associated with swine flu. She praised him for staying home and out of circulation.

Don't feel bad....I get paid for sick days I don't have. So I need to go to work also, no matter how sick. By the way........I work in a RESTAURANT. Remember that next time you go out to eat. Your cook may be hugging trash can while cooking your food.

I'm part-time so any sick time I can throw out the window. Is it me or do these syptoms sound like the regular seasonal flu? Chances are if you go out and exercise in the rain (we're not talking about a 2 mile run or even a 10 mile bike ride) then proceed to follow it with dancing and I'll jump and make the assumption drinking. Chances are pretty good you are going to get ill. It sounds more like a case of the flu vs swine flu. I don't know the story didn't make sense to me, how to jump from a regular flu to the swine flu??

Swine flu, schmine flu. For goodness sake people, its the flu. its not even as bad as the regular flu. The media should be sued for getting people all upset over nothing.

Beyonce is a very classy lady. If only more entertainers were like her. And Taylor Swift you are a very gracious young lady. Your parents should be proud of both of you women.

No offense Harry, but I'm pretty sure that a 25 mile bike ride in the rain and then partying all night is going to make anyone sick. No need to jump to conclusions and say you have the swine flu. You probably just have a cold or sinus infection. It may be the swine flu, but based on your weekend, more than likely its not. But props for staying home and not making other people sick.

So what? many many people have had swine flu, regular flu. Explain to me why a TV commentator needs an article saying so? But dont worry..I'm pretty sure the swine flu isnt just a liberal flu...its non partisan. But maybe he was one of those liberals who whined and cried for the last 8 years and wore his immunity down, or maybe he has spent lots of time at Barney Frank's apartment....hmmmmm

It is great that he had the sense to stay home! I run a daycare in my home and have a boy out today because of a nasty cough....all I kept thinking yesterday was "please don't let it be swine flu". Our family has been taking the Vidazorb chewable probiotics in hopes of boosting our immunities and hopefully protecting our bodies from flu and illness. I pray!
