Kanye West did it again, and we thought he'd learned his lesson. The rapper stormed another awards show stage last night to complain about another injustice (the "snubbing" of Beyonce), and this time it appears to have really hurt him. "I am really happy for you," West told a stunned Taylor Swift as she was accepting her first MTV VMA on Sunday. "But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." He's apologized, but his fellow artists are calling him a "piece of s--t" "heartless" "bully," and a majority of PopEater readers believe the backlash against him will last indefinitely.
Letting his mouth get the best of him is nothing new for the rapper, and it's only been five months since he nibbled on some humble pie following an ego drubbing by 'South Park.' After that episode -- in which the star was turned into a narcissistic, auto-tune-using gay fish -- he admitted to needing to "drop the bravado ... get past himself" and quit "telling people how dope I think I am." Cocky Kanye, Through the Years:
His cockiest moments seem to happen either at awards shows, or during live TV:
"That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance. I'm trying hard, man, I have the ... number one record, man." -- on not winning a 2007 VMA.
"Oh hell no! This video cost a million dollars! I had Pam Anderson, I'm jumping across canyons and s---! If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility." -- on not winning at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards
"If I don't win Album of the Year, I'm gonna really have a problem with that. I don't care if I jumped up and down right now on the couch like Tom Cruise." -- on his 2005 Grammy nominations.
"George Bush doesn't care about black people" -- during a 2005 Hurricane Katrina recovery telethon appearance with Mike Myers.

He has explained his bravado by pointing to his past, and how he's having the last laugh after years of rejection by music industry types. "I used to use it to build up my esteem when nobody believed in me. Now that people do believe and support my music ... the best response is 'thank you' instead of 'I told you so!!!'"
"It hurts me to see the old and very wrong version of the 'Paranoid' video get leaked all over the net... It's just frustrating when this stuff happens because I really care about the product." -- on an Internet leak of his new video starring Rihanna.

"Please i beg you, give me a break!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me be great!!! Who have i hurt so bad that they want to destroy me? Who have i ever spoke about so negatively? "I believe I am the greatest entertainer of this generation. I go neck-and-neck on Jay-Z and [Lil] Wayne as far as who's the best lyricist," Kanye West said in VIBE magazine's February issue.

"I am protecting my personal space since there are no laws to protect that for me," West said. "The fact that [a photographer] could get me arrested off a mere complaint, but I can't ask him to stop taking pictures of me is very lopsided." -- defending his recent scuffle with the paparazzi

"There were people who had the potential to do it but they went on vacation, so when Justin [Timberlake] went on vacation I made albums, and it just came out to be that." -- on Timberlake's supposed failure to become music's top dog due to a lack of new albums.

"If I was more complacent and I let things slide, my life would be easier, but you all wouldn't be as entertained. My misery is your pleasure."-- quote from a 2006 Rolling Stone interview

"We were obviously dealing with f------ idiots who didn't really have the capacity to really put on this show properly. They tried 2 give me a time slot were it was still light outside. I have a f------ light show dumb a---, it's not called glow in the dark for no reason squid brains." -- blaming the organizers for Bonnaroo problems.

So, was this the last straw for West? Will it take another 'South Park' skewering to get him to tamper down his bravado? Let us know below.
Watch the ladies of PopEater discuss Kanye West's VMAs faux pas:
Kayne is a big Douche Bag. his music sucks and the people that listen to his music typically suck even worse. i bet his mommy would be proud of him right about now.... maybe him and that woman beating punk chris brown should make an album together now called 'we two douches'
Kanye West should not be allowed to attend these type of events, he evidently is not mature enough or sane enough to be in the presence of class individuals. He needs to get over himself, he's an embarrassment and should not be allowed to take away from someone elses moment to receive an award.
I just want to know that it is your opinion that doesn't count. Taylor Swift evidently won the award. Get over it. Who do you think you are to belittle someone when they just received an award and well deserved award. You make me sick.. you need to be humbled sir. Get off your high horse and get human. You lost total respect from America.. you are no longer an individual to look up to.. I never knew who you were anyway.. but I do know Taylor Swift and I love her music. GROW UP MAN
You know thats realy sad that this so call man treated a young lil girl like Taylor Swift that he doesn't even know like trash ,The way he attack her is wrong ,If that was my lil girl I would look for him and show him ,you don't act like that with any women and then i would kick his lil ass .But thats me
he is only showing who he really is . we tem come and go but George Bush will always have been President of the United States of America but Mr west will always be a looser who keeps reminding us every year at an awards show
Kanye really mad an A$$ of himself. He embarased Beyonce and Jay Z and has a total lack of respect for them and certainly himself. I honestly don't listen to this guys music and I know almost nothing of him other than he was depicted as a Gayfish. However I love Beyonce and Jayz and while I don't now Taylor well either she did deserve her moment. Thankfully, Beyonce redeemed herself and JayZ with such class and grace. Kanye was grasping at his moment of fame and should never ever be awarded for anything... not even a$$ of the year. He deserves nothing. Everyone should turn their back on him and Jayz should cut him loose before he cost them their reputation after all he did find him. His musics not even that great as is obvious by his lack of an award
The VMA's were a combination of very classy and creative to the gutter. Beyonce is one of the classiest performers and human beings, and her talent brings joy to all who love her music. Janet Jackson clearly showed her heart and creativity in memory of Michael. Kanye West was an embarrassment to the music industry, as was the MC who crude remarks were unnecessary and took away from the evening. Lady GaGa needs to get over herself.
Again,Kanye ("Bush hates black people, you ok for a white girl") proves that not only does he have no musical talent, but all of the money in the world cant buy class. Who annointed this putz the voice of a generation? If thats the case, there is no hope for this generation. He couldent carry a tune in his Gucci bag. He wouldent have done this to a man because he would have gotten the much needed beating that he deseves. She should have spit on that piece of trash.
KANYE PROVES TO EVERYONE THAT HE IS HIMSELF, LOWLIFE, CLASSLESS, GHETTO, UNCOOL AND TYPICAL OF HIS KIND.................YOUR CD'S ARE GOING DOWN......................JERK!!!!!!

Just an indication of this crappers lack of manners. Reflective of a very poor upbringing.
