'Dirty Dancing' Star Remembers Swayze

Actress Jennifer Grey, who played Frances "Baby" Houseman, alongside the late Patrick Swayze in 'Dirty Dancing' recalls how much fun the two had on set together. "When I think of him, I think of being in his arms when we were kids, dancing, practicing the lift in the freezing lake, having a blast doing this tiny little movie we thought no one would ever see," Grey told PEOPLE.

"Patrick was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace. My heart goes out to his wife and childhood sweetheart, Lisa Niemi, to his mom, Patsy, and to the rest of their family," she added.

Swayze died Monday at age 57 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Grey, 49, says Swayze was a "real cowboy with a tender heart," and that "it was not surprising to me that the war he waged on his cancer was so courageous and dignified."

A wife, a brother, a mother and millions of fans are grieving the loss of Patrick to a horrific and relentless cancer. The disrespect spilling from your mouth will catch up with you in the end. Remember Trina, Karma is a B****

I bet you never lost anybody in your pathetic life...
I lost 2 grandfathers to cancer (pancreatic cancer & throat cancer) when I was younger and I know how difficult it was for me then. I LOVED all his movies and he was a great actor and person. He was married to his sweetheart for 34 yrs and had a great life... I hope you rethink of what you said...
PATRICK, thx for all the good thinks you've done and even though I was very young when Dirty Dancing came out, I LOVED it and still does... One dvd that it's for sure in my collection and Ghost too.

To his wife, he'll no longer be suffering and now his resting and looking down on all of his loved ones.

This man was and is a role model for youth today. He did not surrender to his success but proved to be a caring human being with real morals. Wouldn't it be a great thing if more of his piers were like him.

I am so sorry for losing Patrick. I am a Grandma, but I have always loved all his Movies and the person he is and was. He will never be forgotten. I have a Grandaughter that just turned 9 in July that has Radbo(short word) for it. It is a childhood cancer. We only learned she had it 1&1/2 years ago. She has had a hard time taking Chemo, It is the type os cancer babies carry as a fevis, she must have had it since 2 or 3 yrs old. Sept 11 this week she had to have 2 holds drilled into her little skull to drain flue infection out & put tubes into the holes. She got that new type fule & from Radition on her face it she got an ear acke that caused all the drilling. I have been praying praying for Patrick along with my Lily Clevenger on caringbridge.org/visit/lilyclevenger. She was released last night, to come home, but she did not want the IV to come with her. Had to come home with it. No one wants a IV on your body. But Lily is tough Like Patrick, No cancer showing since March, then school which she loves, got the flu. Maybe I spelt it correct this time. MY heart go out to all Patrick's loved ones & Fans. Try to get strong, Patrick would want that for you all. God Bless you all.

My deapest sympathy goes out to the Swayze family. I'm sorry for your lose. I love Pat just as much as you. It breaks my heart to know that he isn't with us anymore. I wanted to meet Mr. Swayze all of my life and I never got the chance too. Maybe we'll meet somewhere in the after life. I really admire the tremendous work that he done and the happiness that he brought me. I can't imagine the lose. It is hard for me to bear. To his wife, you had a good and honest man; you were lucky. I get the feeling that Trina is a stage name for a very bitter dragqueen that never made it even in bars as a entertainer. So now she just goes to the bar every night looking like a man in a dress with 0 friends and though it is sad this is the only attention he/she gets and that is ok with her because attention is attention.

Rest in peace Patrick and look over your family, friends and those who would have loved to have done one eight of what you did in your lifetime.
