Neil Patrick Harris Wants A Baby?

In the new issue of NY Magazine, actor Neil Patrick Harris talks about having a baby with his partner, Broadway actor David Burtka -- stating the two would be "very good parents." While the happy couple would love to raise a child, Harris wants everyone to know, they are not planning a baby, nor do they have a surrogate in the wings. But never say never, he added.

"We yin and yang very well. We're both Geminis, but I, you can probably tell, I process what the options are, and figure out what to say, and he tends to just say what he is feeling," he said about his relationship with Burtka.

"I'm just bowled over by him. He's made my life exponentially more livable. He's just -- great. I'm his forever protector, and I'm happiest when he's happy," Harris added.

Ian, i have no problem with gays. My problem is the worldwide modern acceptance of sodomy. It is wrong and any scientist could confirm this. Asses are a germy place. What is your problem? I'll knock your sister up.

I'd love to see them have a "booty baby". don't think it is possible to do it in the butt and have a baby. Go for it guys or are they gals? It's just wrong on so many levels and none of you can justify two men. Just nasty and wrong I don't give a damn what you say. It has nothing to do with being phobic.

You say to protect the children. If children are to be "protected" from gay parents, why does the U.S. have such a high rate of children in the foster care system with no one to "protect" them?

OK People ripping into Neil...he said he is NOT planning to raise child in the immediate future, he is only weighing the options. He seems like a grounded man within a business of a bunch of crazys. He'd most likely be a better father then most of these people becoming parents today. Him and his partner seem to have a loving and stable homelife which is something every child needs and most are not getting today sadly. Best of luck Neil!

If this were to happen it should be considered a case of child abuse as they would be turning a child into an it like them and would ther by be ruining the childs mind.

Rocky, you really need to do your homework. Being gay is NOT a choice. It has been proven many times over that people are BORN gay. Do you honestly think someone would deliberately choose a lifestyle that would leave them open to such hatred and ridicule for the rest of their lives?

Additionally, there have been MANY children raised by gay parents who did not "turn into" their gay parents, but remained heterosexual, again because one is born gay, not making a conscious choice to be that way.

Perhaps if you were more well-read instead of so ignorant you might see things as they really are, whether you find them morally offensive or not.

People, it's 2009, gay's have just as much right to marry, have kids, & have the same rights & protection as anyone else. There are so many children that needs loving parents & home why should a gay person be allowed to adopted or even have a surrogate. I say GO FOR IT Doogie!! I for one think you'd be a great dad!
