Taylor Talks Kanye, Rapper Calls to Apologize Personally

While appearing on 'The View,' Taylor Swift was prompted to talk about the VMAs, when Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech to tell the world that Beyonce's video was better, telling the co-hosts that, "sure," she would meet with him.

"He has not personally reached out or anything," she said at the time. But that has changed. After the show, West called to speak to Swift directly and apologized, Usmagazine.com reports. And the 'You Belong With Me' star accepted.

"Kanye did call me. He was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology," Swift told ABC News Radio. Asked if in the future, everything would be fine between the two, she replied, "Yeah, definitely."

As for the rest of 'The View,' when asked what was going through her mind during the VMAs, the country singer gave an amusing picture.

"Well umm I think my overall thought process went something like: 'Wow, I can't believe I won. This is awesome. Don't trip and fall. I'm going to get to thank the fans, this is so cool. Oh! Kanye West is here. Cool haircut ... what are you doing there? And then, ouch, and then I guess I'm not going to get to thank the fans.'"

"I'm not going to say that I wasn't rattled by it, I had to perform live five minutes later. So I had to get myself back to the place where I could perform," Swift explained.

"Hopefully, if Kanye is watching, he'll know what to do," Whoopi Goldberg added.

Apparently, he was and he did.

Kanye West is just a nobody. I will never ever watch or listen to anything he has to say. No apology should be accepted. He is completely this biggest idiot on t.v and anybody that wants him on his show is an idot to. Jany Leno just lost a fan. His show was terribly and was just for ratings.

I just heard on CNN that after Mr. West's stunt at the VMA Ceremony, ABC News reporter Terry Moran called Mr. West a 'JACKASS'....Now that's funny and something to laugh at.

Kanye's a racist? Have you seen the arm candy he's been sporting lately (Amber Rose). He needs help and he's off-balance for sure, but I don't believe he is racist.

Kudos to Jay Leno last night. Kanye couldn't even answer the questions when Jay said what would Kanye's deceased Mother thought.

Wow! I give Taylor Swift lots of credit for handling such an unexected interruption as well as she did, this girl has class! As for Kanye..Wow!! to him,too. What he did was inexcusable!! And I wonder what would have happened if the tables were turned?

Since I just found out on here that Kanye's manager and publicist contacted Kanye and told him he needed to apologize, then Kanye's apology is an empty one that doesn't hold water.....'nuff said.....any AMENs there???

*BECCA, just like Obama did when the Professor was arrested, he did so on this issue. Why? Because so many people are seeing it for what it is.. a racial issue. Also, just because he's the President, that doesn't immune him as far as giving his opinion. Had he not, people would have said he was siding with West and now that he has, people are saying crap like you just posted. Fact is, he can't win!! Enough said....

I agree with so many of you. West only apologized because he HAD TO!! If he truly meant it, he would have done it that night, like a MAN but he's no man. He's still a little boy and a bully to top it off.

I can tell you this. Had this been reversed, you better believe Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, *fill in the blank, ALL of them would have been all over our TV screens screaming foul and racism!!! WHERE are they now? I know. Hiding in their houses afraid to come out and meet with the press because they might just have to own up to the fact that "some" A.A.'s can be just as racist as people of other races!!!

I say to them.. stay in doors but the next time something happens when you need to come out and speak up for one of your fellow A.A.'s, that's when you'll be hit with the questions you're now avoiding like the plague!!!

Taylor, keep doing what you're doing. Don't ever let ANYONE get you down. It was great to see how graceful you were that night and the days following and you showed true class!!! Best wishes to you.... Peace

I think when u reach a position u can play yourself,these people do it to each other all the time, Taylor u are real, well as for west he just lose his rank, sometime the mind goes blank, so this is what happen to him.Well call him an ass, would not do anygood, because everyone sometime plays one{ass}i think he just ruin his own character.
