It's been a trying week for Jessica Simpson, who likens herself to a vigilant mom refusing to give up the fight after witnessing a coyote snatch up her beloved dog on Monday. So far, there have been no sightings of Daisy, the adorable Malti-Poo that has been a constant companion to the singer.
On Wednesday, she blasted critics who say there's no way Daisy could still be alive after three days gone. "Still holding out hope despite the a--holes that say is it a dumb thing to do. Daisy is my baby ... why would I stop searching? I'm a mom," she wrote on Twitter.
The whole saga started on Monday night, when the caramel-colored pet she's owned for five years went missing in Los Angeles. That night, she created a "Missing Malti-Poo" poster and tweeted it to her 1.4 million followers. "I Miss My Mommy ... 'Daisy'", it reads before including an email address findingmissdaisy@gmail.com for all tips.
"My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes," she said. "HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"

A neighbor of Simpson's told the Daily Mail that there was "yelling and screaming coming from the direction of Jessica's house around 9pm."
"I can only imagine that it was that moment that it happened because the next day we saw posters up around the neighborhood announcing that Jessica had lost her dog to a coyote. It's so sad." (The poster created by Simpson doesn't actually say anything about the coyote.)
Simpson's family is lending their support as well. Her brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, told her to "keep your head up" in a Twitter message.
You know what., yes the dog is probably not alive but wheather you are or are not a fan of dogs or Jessica Simpson you can not fault her for looking. Just to have some sort of closure. Can you imagine how she would feel god forbid the animal was dropped and wonunded and no one looked. There are some cruel people out there
She is searching because her heart is broken over the loss of her pet and it's all she can do! I'm not a fan but I feel for her. Our pets are our family and we love them and if she needs to keep looking, then I say - Keep Looking! Look until you feel it's time to stop and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. My condolences, Jessica.
I know that Jessica is not the most brightest person in the world but...I feel what she is doing doesn't deserve to be criticized. Even though Daisy is a dog, she is still a living creature, who has feelings, for her Daisy is her daughter. The fact that it was snatched by a coyote and for her to keep looking for her, doesn't demonstrate that she is stupid, She Has Hope. Something similar happened to Paris Hilton last year, a coyote ate 2 of her dogs. With time she will understand that her dog is not coming back. I rather think that my dog is lost that my dog was killed, the thought of it is frightening. Probably people who criticize her, is because they do not own a pet, they will not understand her. But if someone who does own one and criticizes her, I am sure that just saying "Oh well, my dog got snatched by a coyote, I will watch some TV" will not have that reaction...unless you're a f'n robot.
I think it would be alot better if she was offering a reward for the remains of her beloved pooch. She sounds silly looking for her dog that was taken by a coyote.I hope she realizes the coyote took the dog with intentions to eat it. Maybe she is expecting a ransome note or something from the coyote?? She has been mistaken in the past about chicken of the sea and where buffalo wings come from :)
I don't think much of Jessica Simpson personally, but I do feel for her on the dog issues. Your pets become part of your family. Sometimes it is easier to believe that your pet is missing and could possibly be found than accept the reality that it may be dead. I will hope for the best with her also.
Why dont all of you shut the %uck up. Like any of us are perfect, get over yourselves. Is that all you have to do is read something and turn around and blast someone because how they feel or how they believe. Obviously you all were not taught not to speack unless you have something nice to say!!!!!
My heart goes out to Jessica. You get so attached to your pets they are part of your family and sometines i like them "Better" than some of my family. They show unconditional love and are always there for you. God Bless Jessica, I feel your pain and heartache.
I feel very bad for her but why would you keep your precious and expensive dog outside? Those type of dogs are not outside animals. Very sad situation but could have been avoided.
Who told you that she keeps her dog outside, maby they were outside together when it happened. That doesn't mean she keeps daisy outside all the time!
Jessica has taken care of daisy for years and that dog goes where ever she goes, in most cases. So its only natural to think that they were outside together! During Newlyweds, she only let daisy run around on the property while she or Nick was out there with her. Unlike some people who just open the door and let their dogs go out alone. My heart goes out to Jess & Daisy, I always enjoyed seing them out-n-about together. I'm very happy to see her family and other people here showing a little support.
I had a Shepard-Mixed dog named "Lady", we all cried for her and felt a void, when she died, and that was only from old age. Lady was very much a part of the family, and we still keep photo's of her up on the wall, right along with the rest of the family. We tell stories about how protective she was of the children in the family. "WE WERE HER KIDS" and she protected us like a mother would.
I hate to say it.. but it doesn't look good for Daisy! Everyone in California knows Coyotes eat small pets. Why not put up a tall rock wall or fence to keep them out?? You really are having a bad year Jess.. I hope you find your Daisy:(
Where I feel bad for her I also can see she has an on going issue with accepting reality over the years. I tend to doubt the coyote had a change of heart regarding his meal. I will say that I am 100% against people who insist on designer dogs..cross breeding causes alot of problems and I think it is wrong in my honest opinion but it is sad to lose a pet you love.
