Miley: Stunning or Too Sexy at 'Divas'?

She's gracing the stage and being honored at VH1's 'Divas,' but it wasn't Miley Cyrus' voice that turned heads on the runway ... it was the skin-baring dress she was rocking. Sporting an open-backed and super-short-in-the-front dress with fishnet stockings, the 16-year-old superstarlet worked it on the red carpet prior to her performance. During her performance, Cyrus wore an even shorter skirt as she sang her hit tune 'Party in the U.S.A.' During the tune, she namechecked Jay-Z and Britney by inserting them into the "and a (insert singer name) song was on." She was the only 'Diva' to not cover an older song.

The dress Miley was wearing made her look like a little girl trying to be grown (like she was playing dress up in her mom's closet) By the way this is just my opinion, but I don't think she should have been on the show because I don't consider her a Diva. The other women are extraordinary singers and shes'not.

I think that people need to leave her alone. I think that she looks beautiful- and this look is very tastefull. What is she suppost to wear at a high class event? A plaid shirt with high tops and a skate board? She is not a child anymore. I think that people who are uncomfortable with watching this young girl grow into a woman are insecure with themselves.

DIVA????....When I think Diva...I think of the greatest, most talented vocalists ever. Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker....not Miley Cyrus...whatta joke and an insult to the true divas I mentioned.

I have to agree with you. I don't see what the big hype is with Miley Cyrus, she honestly isn't that great of a singer. I don't consider her in the same league vocally as the other ladies on the Divas show. Just because she's popular does not make her a great singer.

Everyone always want to compair Miley with their own young daughters and nieces. But this girl is NOT THE AVERAGE teenage girl. I think that people fail to understand that. She is not the girl next door, she is a young multi-millionare that has done more than people TWICE her age.

Yes, she is a child -- she's only 17, not a legal adult. And making lots of money means it's okay to dress inappropriately, slide on stripper poles and pose for inappropriate magazine photos?! Thanks for enforcing that most of America's values are way out of wack! Kids still need guidance and discipline at 17(even in Hollywood).

I was a little disturbed that Miley looks alot like LiLo in the pics. That being said, the dress is a bit over the top for someone who is 16. As far as the person who remarked about Taylor Swift, I felt last year that her handlers over dressed her also. Unfortunately, sex sells no matter what the age. These girls are talented, but I don't understand their agents, or parents for that matter, trying to make them grow up before they are ready no matter how talented they are.

The only thing stunning to me is why ANYONE thinks Miley Cyrus has done anything to qualify for the title of "Diva." It used to mean something.

She is "too sexy" all of the time if we're referring to the whoreish way she acts and dresses for her age.

I think the "short dress" being referenced in her 1st performance had shorts of some sort attached to it. Also, Miley sang with Sheryl Crow later in the shower, covering "If It Makes You Happy" (and sang the line about smoking pot, so I'm sure someone will harp on that later). I think she looks great & people need to lay off her. She's nowhere NEAR as bad as Lindsay Lohan, please don't compare. Also, have you SEEN what 17 year olds are wearing these days? She's pretty tame in comparison.

The dress that miley is wearing is perfectly fine for a girl her age. You see girls her age half naked when they go to prom. Leave this child alone and let her live her life. And for the ones that saying that she aint no diva, I think she is she make just as much money as Mariah Carey do or probably more. They said the new generation of DIVAS, not the old ones.

Danielle, why do you think there are girls running around half-naked? Because 16 yr old starlets like Miley Cyrus are doing it! Don't care how many are doing it -- it's NOT okay. Kids still need the discipline and rules that keep them from getting hurt and help them to grow up as partly sane adults.
