I really dont buy this "we wont marry till everyone can marry" crap, if they really cared they would stand up and do something about it with their fame, if ppl dont want to marry they have a right not to as well, just quit lying about why

She actually is doing something. She's attending the National Equality March in DC next month.
A tragic blow to the married community. Just another idiot celebrity with an idiotic position. Go marry a woman then! Oh wait, you can't. FOR A REASON.

Your post proves the point many pro-equality people make about people like you.
WHY do you feel gay marriage somehow threatens or affects people in heterosexual marriages???!! If you LOVE the person you are with, isn't that all that should matter? Instead of worrying about gay people ruining your so-called "sanctity of marriage," why don't you look at the divorce rate? The prevalence of adultery? People stuck in unhappy marriages because people like you say they should stay together just because a kid is between them? Get real! Live your own life!
Like I tried to say earlier and was not cleared. Whatever!!
This is just a cop out of committing if you ask me. She will continue to live in sin and sleep around I am sure.
As for same sex marriage, read the bible.
Exactly. Why do you care? I've got a few gay friends as well. All they want to do is committ to one another the same way we do (and often don't succeed). Why do you care what they want with each other!!?? I just don't get it.
Had I known I'd be getting all these "comment replied to" emails, I wouldn't have commented to begin with. My point is more geared toward "Charlize" than anything else. These celebrities are total morons, leaching on to causes to self-promote, or pad their ego's. As for the lifestyle, hey, I live in Miami. I don't care if you putt from the rough. Just keep it private!
Mike, you are such an ignoramous! The heterosexual marriage community is failing badly all ON IT'S OWN! Stop blaming gay people, it is really silly and stupid! I am not gay but believe that everyone should have equal rights to marry who they choose, as long as the person is a consenting adult 18 or over. It really is none of yours or anyone else's business! Gay people pay taxes like we do, and they also deserve the same rights under our Constitution! Gay marriage is coming to a state near YOU, and too darn bad if you don't like it, as the majority of people are FOR gay marriage! Ha ha to YOU and your ignorant kind! God LOVES gays and so do I!
There is no "reason" she couldn't marry a woman, and you are totally off base for calling her an "idiotic celebrity," you don't even know her! It seems to me that she is standing up for equal rights, which is more than I can say for you. There is absolutely no legal, secular, or civil reason gays should not be able to get married... they pay taxes and fight for this country the same as straight people to, thus all the entitlements that come with civil marriage (remember we have freedom of religion) should be afforded to EVERYONE! So, before you go throwing around names, have your facts straight. The gay rights battle parallels the civil rights battle of black people and women, historically.
who really cares what you think or do about marriage Charlize

Who cares? What difference could another hollywood couple continuing in an immoral lifestyle to support more immorality possibly make? If they did get married it would last for what? A year or two at the most.

That's an excuse for not getting married. Maybe it's that her "boyfriend" does not want to get married to HER because she is .......
Was going to comment(which I usually try to avoid doing) but after reading your post, there's nothing I can add except "amen".
Your a bigot J Quillen like your pals Maria Elena, Chuckles, being gay is not a sin as you have claim and isn't immoral lifestyle as well which is being judgemental. Good for Charlize Theron if she doesn't want to get married until gays can.
Wow! I'm completely shocked! A Hollywood psycho liberal with zero morals taking a stand AGAINST morality. They are all a joke. I say prop 8 in all states!

Ohioftblls you need to stop shoving morals & ethics down poeple's throats thats what you are doing and being judgemental as well and your a bigot. your dead wrong and your the pyscho with zero morals & ethics your a loser that needs to get a life.
I'm right as always.
One more thing Oh How I Hate Ohio ST. Go Blue, Spartyon those are real schools unlike Ohio ST which isn't a real school.
I agree with you ohio, and gobluespartyon, we all have the right to express our opinions here, you certainly do it freely, so stfu until you stop telling people what they can and cannot say. That is all.

I believe Charlize just does yet want to get married right now,I feel that she may nor be happy as her friends are and that is her excuse, (she could sleep). Gays live together so basicially they are happy and married, and goes for anyone else. people do not need that certificate for marriage, it is an understanding between 2 people no matter what.
