Michael Jackson's Mom Receiving $86K Monthly from King of Pop's Estate
By PopEater Staff Posted Sep 18th 2009 06:12AM
Michael Jackson's mother and the singer's three children are being well taken care of, financially speaking. Court documents released Thursday in Los Angeles show that Katherine Jackson is receiving $86,804 per month from her son's estate to support herself and her three grandchildren, PEOPLE reports. A judge approved the payments last month.

The documents state that Katherine, 79, had been financially dependent on her son during his life, and that for years, Michael had paid for all her living expenses at the Jackson family's Encino, Calif., home.
Lawyers for the singer's estate also estimated his total assets exceeds $500 million, and that future business agreements bearing Michael Jackson's name could generate "tens of millions of dollars."
Katherine Jackson has been named permanent guardian of the three grandchildren. All four are primary beneficiaries under the singer's will, including some unnamed charities.

hhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I find it quite funny that I am trying to support myself, my daughter and my husband on only $336 dollars a month and Michael Jackson's mom gets over $86 thousand dollars a month to support herself and her grandchildren! Actually it sickens me really.
I think instead of using all that money for herself and the kids who really don't need that much money in the first place should donate most of it to charity or an animal rescue fund or something like that.
Now some of you may think I am jealous or something but I am not at all. I just think all these rich people should stop squandering the money and help out the countries economy for a change. Maybe if they all lent a few of their vast billions this country can finally get back up on it's feet again and provide jobs for those who recently were laid off like halve the people here in Wilmington,OH.
Is that so much to ask of them? They are rich because we the low on the economic totem pole have spent countless amounts of money watching their movies or buying their products so they really owe us some of that "hard" earned money.
If it were not for US they would not have all the crap they do have now. So come on America speak out and let the Celebs know what you think.

I hate to break it to you but no one owes you anything. No one forced you to go out and buy a movie or spend money on music or any of the other services you purchase. I guess the grocery store owes you some food because you make them rich by buying food. I guess Exxon owes you gas because you have to purchase. Get real lady. How do you know that these people don't donate to charities and other social programs? Stop ASSuming you know what these people do with their money or that you have the right to dictate how they spend it, or that you know how much someone needs to survive. You are probably in your current situation because you think that the world owes you something. Your post sounds bitter and sad
It sounds like you are jealous to me. What's wrong with you trying to get a better job or yet your husband? what is $366 a month? Welfare money that we as tax payers are paying for.
Why should someone that has worked hard for their money have to give it away because others have chosen either not to educate themselves or a wrong work path. It is not his fault you are in a bad situation. Time to look at your poor choices as to why you are where you are at this point in time in your life. Stop blaming or looking for other to take care of you. Time to take care of yourself.
He did donate to alot of charities. Why shouldn't his mother and kids have it. That's what he wanted and it was his money he earned! I'm sure most of the money will go into trust funds for the kids. Leave the man alone already.
In my opinion, it's all about hard work and what you've earned. MJ worked his butt off to get that money and frankly the way I love my parents I would do the same if I had it. My inspiration to start a business is to help my mom and dad and I'd be happy to do so. NTM, Jackson is donating to multiple charities. The money is not necessarily being squandered.
Are you kidding me? You've got to be joking! Have you actually read what you spewed in your response? Michael Jackson gave MILLIONS and MILLIONS of HIS money to charity, several charities! When he was burned from that Pepsi commercial? What did he do with his settlement money sweetheart? Do you know? He GAVE it to a burn center! That guy gave and gave and gave and you think you deserve some sort of a handout because you're having a rough time right now? Try getting a better job! Or a second job! People do it all the time! They do what they have to do to support their family! Why should anyone else support you when you're not doing everything you possibly can to support yourself? Instead of looking for a handout, look for another job! People like you sicken me! Seriously! Stop slamming those that have achieved more than you, and do something to better your life! You truly make me sick!
You seem to have enough money of your own to be on line, I know they don't give that away. I'm sorry for your financial problems, I lost my job, but I'm not on here wanting people more fortunate than myself to share the wealth. I think we've seen that don't work. Don't assume what anybody else does with their money, it is theirs to do with as they see fit. Michael has always taken care of his Mother and his children, he's seen to it that they will always be taken care of in the lifestye they've become accustomed to, no matter who thinks they don't need that much money. The amount mentioned that they recieve in a month is more than my family 'earns' in a year. Get off your hump and stop wanting something for nothing. That's the way it sounds.
I AM SORRY YOU LIVE THE WAY YOU DO. HOWEVER, MICHAEL WAS RICH AND WHATEVER SHE GETS IS THEIR BUSINESS. WHO SAID SHE SPENDS THATMUCH A MONTH? NEVER BE JEALOUS OF ANY ONE OR ANYTHING. IT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT. GEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who do you think you are.Micheal worked his ass off for that money. And when he died he had it to where it went to his family. That's not there fault you only bring in $336.00 month or do you get Food Stamp.Who do you think pay'S for you to get Food Stamp? WE DO. Yes our TAXES do.So i guess since my husband brings home $1200.00 a week we owe that to you because you make less? GET A JOB! And quit saying The Jacksons owe everyone because there rich.YOU SICKEN US.
Michael's will calls for 40 percent of his estates income to go to charity! So now what is your complaint?
number 1, your comment "so they really owe us some of that "hard" earned money" is so extremely ridiculous, they owe us NOTHING. no one twisted your arm to buy their products. and $366.00 a month to suppor your family? is that welfare? why are you spending welfare money on their products?
and Michael Jackson did donate millions of dollars to charities. i'm afraid you have no idea what you're talking about
to JustMe...I couldn't agree more! you said that perfectly!!
to Alestra2009 - tell your man to get off his a$$ and get a job!! only $336/month???? what they hell kind of job pays that little??? If you're a waitress...you better work a little harder to get some better tips!! if you're on welfare - I suggest you shut your bitter mouth!
You sound jealous because Mrs. Jackson is living well. GET A JOB! Oh and BTW, TELL YOUR HUSBAND TO DO THE SAME! NO one owes you jack! Perhaps out of your $336.00 a month you should be donating to charities!
you've got to be kidding, right? omg, what a moron....
First of all you can't blame rich people for your problems, get off your butt and get a better job or go back to school and further your education. You are the one holding yourself back, not MJ or his kids or mom. So what if they get alot of money every month. He was an entertainer, he was successful. Good for him, he didn't sit around crying about his problems looking for other people to support him! Alot of us in this country are broke but many of us have moved on to dig ourselves out, not looking to be charity cases! Wake up and do something for yourself- our country is going to go further down the tubes if everyone starts thinking that others owe us anything!
Alestra2009 how do you know rich people aren't contributing to the less fortunate? Micheal Jackson did. Bill Gates does. Oprah does. Shall I name more and, besides, that money was probably allocated on Katherine Jackson and the kids lifestyle. Would you allocate $336 a month to a person who needs $10,000 a month to live on? Be realiatic and sensible about this.
Michael paid the ultimate price for his riches. Money ain't all it's cracked up to be.
